Should not be a problem.. As im using 2 layer of security tint on top of the existing security tint that was provided by Proton from Eco Tint.. its now somewhere around 9-10 mil
*
Can take picture of your car windscreen under sunlight? I'm interested to add another layer too but I'm worried the chances of getting stopped by JPJ.

Press pedal lightly also can easily up to 100km/h with notice untill look on meter there. I like turbo. Of course there got engine accelerate sound. But which car don't have dude. So far happy. Mine got slightly helicopter sounds. Inform sa and he help me inform sc to book the disc brake rotor.

Once you get used to the car, driving another car (non comparable cars I mean) will make you wished that you were driving your CFE biggrin.gif

Guys, one question. The free tint that comes for Preve, is it called EcoTint? Is it good? From what my SA told me, in few years, the tint on the rear mirror will go bubly and if you try to peel the tint, it will crack the heating line.
*
ECOtint is a reputable brand, and the quality of the specific tint you get differs because they do not only have one spec of film.

The one that is factory fitted with CFE if I'm not mistaken easily costs more than 1k. For Exec and manual, it depends on your SA to give you voucher to which kind of tint film.

DRL is daytime running light, which you can found on New Honda Accord or Audi.
Preve doesn't have it by default, but you can enable it by aftermarket mod. Just the headlight warranty gonno void.
BCM donno.... sweat.gif

BCM - Body Control Module. It's like the CPU of the car electronic systems. If you notice, not many mass production cars are factory-equipped with autolock features anymore (e.g. City, Vios, Myvi etc). However, the newer Proton cars (Exora, Preve, SS) all complies to the regulation that on collision impact, the doors will be unlocked.

I am using semi synthetic EO and advised the next scheduled maintenance is 10k.. little bit worried to proceed and wait until 10k... since they ask me how I use my SS, I tell them that it is use just for daily usage to go to work.. around 24 km return... april until now, 4 times long distance... KLIA-Taiping...
*
By right, even semi can run until 10k, it's a 'recommendation' (with a hint of warranty void) by the SC that it can only run for 5k.

I doubt your warranty will void if you use semi for 10k, it's just a 'recommended suggestion', not only by Proton but most car manufacturers. This is due to the old belief that semi can only last for 5k, that might be true for old engine cars.

From what I read, it may lead to void the warranty. Better play safe than sorry later  sweat.gif

Like some of us have been saying (based on what we found out from SCs), they are 'recommendations', not a mandatory. Their recommendations are based on this hypothesis: Shorter interval = more frequent visits by customers = more $$$. Hey, that's business.

But please don't go service your car when the interval is at absurd amount like >15k.

So far so good. My only qualm is with the height of the beam projector, it is considerably low. I will get it fixed at SC very soon.

I'm gonna buy a set of 5k bulb later for the high beam, it's weird that my low beam is whitish but my high beam is yellow doh.gif And also the fog light laugh.gif

Need to do some soldering, better send to the shop and bundle it with reverse cam package, should be cheaper.

Dear All,

I went to a show room yesterday, the SA told me that the CFE/TURBO version is come with HEAT Tinted instead of SAFETY TINTED.

IS IT TRUE???

Thank you.
*
It's 2-in-1 tint, both security and heat for the side windows, and only heat tint for the windscreen.

Use short USB drive so you can close the compartment. But logic dictates that if you don't want to use the USB to listen to the songs, unplug it.

I don't have any idea how you would do that, unless it was your child or something.

Well you can practically install a reverse cam for a few hundreds without voiding the warranty.

If your engine is off, you should not be able to draw power, unless it's on standby or on mode.

Yes, always be careful and look into the side mirror to ensure nothing/no one short walks behind.

Just checked the spare wheel as I wanted to ensure that the pressure is at the required 4 bars.

They say it is smaller. By smaller, I thought they were referring to tyre's width (narrower). I stood it side by side against the normal wheel. It is about an inch shorter! Now imagine putting that spare wheel on, the car will be tilted at one corner! Now I cannot understand why they use this smaller wheel and not the same size wheel as the rest.

Or is this the norm for other non Proton cars?

Thanks.
*
It's already stated that the spare tyre is for emergency use only, for the sole purpose of bringing your car from the point of breakdown to the nearest workshop. If I'm not mistaken, less than 50km distance.

Logically you would be driving more careful and slower than you normally would.

It should be reminded to everyone that do check the spare tyre pressure at least once a month. I've met some people who believed that their SCs would take care of that when they sent for service, but do not count on it.
