Rm220 each donut. Really cheap. I was quote 260 for champiro bax 2. Damn expensive for noisy tyre. With nt5000 Anything else feels the same like old champiro. Why should I pay more?
*
I take that excludes the balancing and alignment?

Usually those who get pulled over for HID is the using more than 5000K temperature rating. mine is 4300k (the allowed rate in Malaysia) and moreover using it in the projector. So, the light dont glare the opposite drivers.. Have went through alot of police roadblock and even JPJ, so far, never been stopped for the HID..
*
I installed Osram 5000k as my high beam, and Philips 4300k as low beam. One night I purposely switched on my high beam at a JPJ roadblock, I got stopped and they let me go because they said it was not HID. However I think it might be isolated case and still dependent on their discretion hmm.gif

However the 5000k is really white and bright, but it does not glare oncoming cars like an HID would biggrin.gif

Guys, I'm planning to buy Preve next year. But some question I want to ask.

1) Will the warranty void if I add the black bison style bodykit.

2) Will the warranty void if I change the head unit?

3) Can I choose different kind of tinted instead of OEM one?
*
1) Sensors will be gone.
2) Wiring would be gone.
3) The tint is applied right at factory, I don't think any SA can arrange for third party tint without additional cost.

As what i said previously, because the installation of HID is done in the low beam light (in a projector), it does not glare the opposite driver.. So pretty safe.. As long as i dont install it in the high beam or the fog light would b fine..  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
But in my case, I installed the 5000k as the high beam, they let me go because it is not technically a 'retrofitted HID', just a halogen bulb biggrin.gif

Chill bro.. enough frustration for the 1st batch owners of Preve Premium and Exec. We dont get as much airbag or the VT3+ (for premium).. definitely preve dont come with front parking sensors.
*
Yeah my bad, since I thought post-2013 Preve followed Suprima S specs and features, so it might have the front sensor doh.gif

im decided on preve
but the problem lies with my siblings,
they tend to support Nissan because we have long relationship with Nissan.
most of our cars are Nissan Car.
yes i do like the nissan.
we already owned Almera E manual,i already drive around with it,it feel light,

My parent dont mind,as long its value for money,
btw, have you encountered any problematic with the car?
*
Not gonna lie, many minor problems, but nothing serious that affect your safety. All of them can be fixed at SC too.

I guess Proton took the approach of instead of fixing it in production line, you can fix it 'optionally' at SC laugh.gif

Got mine in mid Aug. So far minor ones like loose back car plate, auto left turn signal after making a quick right U turn (slow right U turn will not trigger the left turn signal).

Main one is the ESC (ESC light came on, non blinking indicating some fault with this ESC). SC does not know what to do and asked me to bring the car to them the next time I have the ESC light again.  Thought they can hook up the computer and get the error message!

So far, still happy, 8/10 for my Preve!
*
For those problems that only occur randomly, you better set an appointment with COSE if you can. Some of the SCs have the attitude of "I can't see anything, so it must not exist".

Saw this in a prevoc group

Review from Prevoc member that used for 2nd time

"I've been using the PT5 for 40k km, still running good... http://www.motorsportchannel.com/viking-pr...-pt5-tyres-…/ what i can say is value for money, 205/55/16 cost less than rm250/pc only, thread wear 360 (same as Bax2)"

"Changed new set 4pcs of Viking PT5 at Chin Heng tires at jln kapar Klang . Reasonable price at rm230/pc. Free balancing and get this cute key chain. Old set last me 43k km in 13 months and still good in condition except inner side wall worn out due to camber setting for taking sharp turn. — at Perkhidmatan Tayar Chin Heng Sdn Bhd, Jln Kapar, Kelang"

Not bad....at least it was cheap...RM230/pcs of donuts!! hmm.gif
*
Not bad, how does it fare against Neuton NT8000?

Had an accident this evening after the gym at the club. Reversed my car and scratched the Saga parked at the back (parked illegal). Damage to my Preve as shown in the photo.

Appreciate your view on how I can DIY repair the damage. Or better ask the car shop to do that? Cost?

What a day!

P/S Damage to the Saga was a scratch about 3 inches long above the bigger scratch at the front right light area (the wife scratched it while parking before this incident). The high back, poor lighting (at 6 pm) and the black Saga parked at an illegal area added to my mistake. I heard the beep and the light scratch. Good that I was not reversing fast. Otherwise it will be body dents instead of just paint.

What a coincidence. Someone scratch my car when I'm at work today. Most probably he/she parked his/her car next to my car and scratch the rear bumper when trying to exit the parking. Quite sad but luckily it's just a minor scratch  sad.gif
*
I think first thing to do is to polish that area, see whether it has reached bare metal or not. Doesn't look too serious but I think even with polishing, need to do some touch up, minor one (at shop) could cost RM 50 to RM 100.

with recent price reduction of Ron97 to RM2.55 versus Ron95 at price RM2.30, the differences of 25cent between both drove me to get Ron97 instead. Say 40L refilled each time, and you only save RM10 but if you agree what "expert" been quoted the Ron97 give more "POWER" and "Engine Care" then nothing lose from here... i just wish i'm interpreted correctly what expert's advice :-)
*
For long journey I would definitely use RON97 now.

No particular reason, an RM10 saving is still a saving for city driving that you can't actually tell the difference between RON95 and RON97.

it was thanks to my parent they able to increase the budget

Hmm not to discourage you, but car ownership is more than purchasing the car. You need sustainable income for fuel, care and maintenance.

If you ask me, buying a car is only 50% of owing a car.

Called We-Care hotline. Learnt that I cannot install a reverse camera in my Preve as that will violate the warranty even if it is a Proton reverses camera system. Proton SC will not do such modification.

I assumed that I could add the reverse camera as long as it is a Proton camera system and it is done by Proton SC.

WRONG!

Will keep that in mind the next time I buy a new car. Get what I need and not add things later.

Cheerio.
*
Err the reverse cam is plug and play type, you can just take it out if you send in for warranty involving wiring problem.

Ya! Good point!

But they will see my reverse camera every time I send my car to SC for the 6 monthly servicing. How? Go to different SC? Ha.
*
They won't be interested in the reverse camera unless you are claiming for stuffs related to the issues that this reverse cam supposedly make them void, like wiring and HU. For regular service, most likely they won't even bother.

Part 2 to the above story.

Did my car washing last weekend. Found about 10 blue paint dots on my Preve! My neighbour repainted his roof. Though his roof is at least 5 meters away from my car, I guess the wind and paint droplets can still do nasty things.

First it was the paint debris from the hydrojetting landing on my car, and now the blue paint dots! Really adding salt to the cut!

Any smart and safe way to remove the blue dots? If I rubbed too hard, I will be damaging the car body paint.

Thanks.

Errr polish then wax your car.
