nowadays job position for consultant over rated. Most hire less than 1-3 years ppl as consultant....and dunno much abt the work....

to me to be a consultant you need to be an expert in ur field of consultancy and probably take 8-10 years to achieve that not 1 year working experience...

so consultant now is just title like some manager post....nice title...know nothing but good at CON....

no offence...but i feel Malaysia no good consultant...and I particular dislike those from Big 5 ..... all glamour but know nuts.....

even soem SAP consultant...just know thier area but not how to apply to client business....just lucky that SAP limited ppl so can ask high amount and not because then can add value to thier client business....

from my encounters.....overseas consultant are usaully better but avoid Aussie and India consultants.....India more hardworking then Msian consultant but knowledge wise tak boleh harap!...Aussie just plain lazy

i dont mean to de mean or be racist on any race or culture but based on my dealings with consultant from both country in MALAYSIA that was the result.

We pay handsome dollars but get ... crap....maybe the countries export the lousy ones and the good ones stay and build up the nation hence Australia and Hydrebad

but when they come over, they then to take u for a ride....

i will amend my post if its demeaning to say overseas consultant especially from india and aussie is not up to standard when providing services for Malaysian companies....

in addition there are some good Malaysian consultant...very rare but the employment market now advertise or mis use the term consultant....they are looking for fresh grads as consultants.....if they are in experience what are they providing thier clients? (CON lar )...they shld called this post specialist and when they gain enuff experience then call them Consultant....

My company pay abt rm25k a mth per consultant from India, Aussie and Big 5 Malaysia consultants and the results is delay after delay or round the bushes solutions....so am disappointed...in the end client solve it them selves but still pay the CON millions...(public money....so i work for ??? heheheh ...controvesial company)

but employers seem to think they are so good yet own Msian staff are useless...what a joke!
