Seeing crime case at the whole malaysia n police fail to curb crime.
Im thinking to buy a gun to protect my family.
Perharpa im thinking to buy desert eagle , at least i dont need to face to face the criminal. Just shoot through the wall n thats it , hit the criminal.
But how to obtain gun legally? Yusof haslam already has one
*
You need to apply permit. IIRC, the application will ask you who you are, what you do, where you live, why you want a gun, what gun you are buying, etc.

Then it's up to the officer if approve or not.

But where to find the permit application, I dunno. Last time it was a guy with very VERY deep political connections who got it for my father. End up never fill, cuz my father too lazy go training for the gun.

EDIT: Found it. Apply with KDN:

http://www.moha.gov.my/index.php/ms/maklum...n-senjata-api-2

EDIT2: Don't buy a Desert Eagle. You will hurt yourself, and a weapon that hurts its wielder is essentially worthless. 9mm is more than enough. Also, in Malaysia, waving a gun at a criminal is usually enough to make them run.

For home defense, go with a Remington shotgun. The CHIAK CHIAK sound is usually plenty to send criminals running, so you probably won't have to shoot anybody.

Take a training course though. You don't want to end up shooting your own foot.

No problem. I'm have some decent experience with firearms from my time in the US. Lots of time (and money) spent at the gun range renting guns and shooting.

Seriously bro, DO NOT BUY A DESERT EAGLE, or this is what will happen.

Desert Eagles are for experienced shooters only. A Glock 9mm is plenty for a beginner. A Walther P22 is also great.

also includes illegal possession of firearm like handgun. Malaysia here caught with handgun can get prison time 7 years and not more than 14 years. i think automatic handguns can reach up to maximum 30 years.

oh ya, plus some whipping. ouch

everyone knows that SW-40 is the way to go , it has less recoil and give a heck of a punch with its .357 magnum bullet , but the only thing its only has 6 bullet per mag , so ur aim must be very accurate . And btw Desert Eagle is an overrated piece of ****
*
.357 Magnum comes in revolvers of up to 8 rounds capacity (TRR-8) and >10 round semi capacity with something like a Coonan pistol.

.40 S&W comes in magazine capacities of up to 15 rounds.

The Desert Eagle is generally a heavy pistol as it is made for MSS style shooting. Not practical shooting.

If you want a quality defence pistol, you can't go with a SPHINXARMS SDP Alpha. Or if you're absolutely off your rocker you can do what I did and order custom and handbuilt P226 X-Five straight from the SIG master shop in Eckenford, Germany.
