Many people like to do plastic ceiling. In my opinion, plastic ceiling is not exactly that heatlhy. The powdery stuff will drop and give you more dust.

Aside to this, i think just paint the ceiling and buy some nice light will save you money for something else. Your ceiling looks ok to me.

I know it is too late to say it now but at least we can debate about it. I might not be right with what I said. Purely opinion and hearsay.

Can't wait to see how your apartment turn out. I like the part that you demo that wall to create more spacious area.
