Get a pocket wifi.

There's no prepaid sim card for internet connectivity? so just use pocket wifi with a powerbank?

And also any hotel recommended? budget not exceeding 200usd preferred.

Why spending 2 night at Nara?  Half day already finised the tour already.

Wasting money only. Do you really do homework before you post?

My cousin advise me to stay 2 nights day. I just decided to go yesterday so still researching.

So far I booked almost all of my accommodations back in Japan using Rakuten smile.gif
*
I narrowed down my stay at tokyo to The prince sakura tower shinagawa or Shinjiku grandbell hotel. Grandbell is cheaper though

My cousin ask me to stay 1 night at ryokan hotel at osaka, now wanna search for hotel in osaka area.

My work nature, I only know my work schedule every end of the month, really hard to plan ahead.

Hey guys, any other recommended Pocket Wifi rental service in Chubu?

http://www.globaladvancedcomm.com/
ran out of device for rental at the moment. sad.gif

--- further exploring ---

Can't seem to find any simcards, looks like subscribing for a weekly wifi spots are the way to go.  icon_question.gif

yeah fully booked on my date as well. maybe rent a sim card for my phone or my pocket wifi.

There's also prepaid sim card in japan right? just wondering. Usually when I travel other country I just buy a prepaid card for data usage.

You can consider to go Kibune and experience the kaiseki lunch on a platform that built over river. You can soak your leg in the cchilling river water!

wanted to post pic but doesnt know how to do it!

have fun in your trip!

Thanks. I'm staying at Ryokan at Gion. There's Gion summer festival but it's ending, think there's the closing service at eki shrine, anyone knows whats that about?

Just to share about how Japanese spent their weekend during summer.

All these platform over the river will only be built during summer time in Kibune. Kibune located in the northern part of Kyoto. Other than this special kaiseki lunch, Kibune Shrine is worth the visit too.
It is worthwhile to spend a morning visiting the Kibune Shrine then follow by lunch.

Basically we were like the very few foreigner that have lunch there and we followed the culture of Japanese to have beer during lunch  tongue.gif

I'm worry about my luggage also. The problem is carrying to the airport.

Other countries that I travel, I just load up my stuff to the taxi from my hotel and arrive at airport, so boxes also no problem.

At Tokyo to Narita gotta take railway, how can I carry so many things. Is there service to send stuff to airport?

Hotel got 24 hours kuronekoyamato service but found out there's bus limousine to narita airport, cost 3100yen, compare to train doesn't cost that much different unless I take train/bus.

End up taking the bus limousine to airport then purchase the boxes to pack my things.

I got 2 box for 680yen, cheaper than buying another luggage.

Photo upload from iPhone always terbalik.

1 thing I learn when pack luggage. Do not use box if you don't want kena custom. Pack to bag as much as possible.

Custom normally target box to scan and rip. Because they know good tax thing will spill over into the box. biggrin.gif
*
The last time i went back from Jakarta, once in LCCT with Batmobile, big box and LCCT tax me, I under valued it though, then I went through KLIA with the same item, the custom officer scan the box and said "kereta" then let me pass.

So your trip was good?
*
Ya was good. Will upload some photos when I. Free, now back to work.

Anyway the most frustrating part. As I don't use credit card, I made quite a few transaction with my maybank ATM/debit card. I guess they are not familiar with it, they slot the card and it doesn't work, need to use the IC chip and voila, it works.

Now comes the nightmare, maybank said usually the transaction goes like this, there will be a preauth transaction deducting the amount, then refund back the amount, and another sales debit amount which goes. Deduct, refund, deduct.

But all my transaction don't get refunded so every transaction got deducted twice from my account. Have to make a dispute and wait for then to refund, which takes 2-4 weeks.

I suppose to avoid the hassle I'll convert all my RM to Yen then so I don't have to do any withdrawing in Tokyo and only use credit card for those stores that accepts it. You'll never know when hard cash is needed. I only have a Public Bank credit card so hopefully it works well.
*
My finished my ¥ haha, anyway I'm not using ATM withdrawal, I'm using my debit card. I used at Singapore, china, Thailand, Indonesia, Korea all no problem only japan.
