QUOTE(munkeyflo @ Sep 30 2014, 05:59 PM) Transportation in Japan ain't cheap. JR Pass can save you a lot of money if you will be using the public transport a lot, especially the shinkansen. my airticket only rm300....JR pass rm900 my planning is nagoya -> kyoto -> osaka dun think i need JR pass for the shinkansen...i will skip that..I will take the bus or normal train |

QUOTE(sacwoc @ Sep 30 2014, 06:48 PM) The public transport was also "told" there wont be any big snow storm in Tokyo. In the end it came and they were not prepared for it. So yes, Tokyo very seldom have heavy snow, but with global warming, who knows. no no aint going to tokyo...nagoya kyoto osaka only QUOTE(zstan @ Sep 30 2014, 09:36 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(youngman28 @ Oct 1 2014, 10:37 AM) Can consider Kansai area pass ,study the route before purchase, most likely i will get subway pass when i am in kyoto and osakaFor me, a Icoca card for train and subway is a must, it save the hassle to go to find and walking to main station to buy the bus pass. Or buy daily bus pass Or daily subway pass. QUOTE(RegentCid @ Oct 1 2014, 11:54 AM) From Nagoya to Osaka. Taking normal Train....No way you can reach Osaka. It was very complicated plus you dunno Japanese. You need do alot interchange. i plan to take bus from nagoya (landing here and stay 1 night) then move to kyoto by bus (probably 2 nights)Bus is only choice. Take Willy Express night Bus. Save Hotel money also. then from kyoto to osaka will taken shinkansen (cost 1420 yen = RM50 only).... good idea? well at least i try the bullet train with minimal cost |

QUOTE(kehadapan @ Oct 2 2014, 07:47 PM) sure no problem.... when are u going?QUOTE(g00glesYYl @ Oct 2 2014, 09:16 PM) 1.5k for each...damn....can fly korea + taiwan liao QUOTE(hihihehe @ Oct 2 2014, 09:26 PM) you actually can count the cost by yourself whether or not to use jr pass or normal ticket. calculate the cost the route you going to use and compare. last year i bought 7 days jr pass and it was fully utilised from tokyo>hakone>kyoto>osaka>hiroshima>miyajima>osaka>tokyo dun think i can afford to go so many places in 1 day it was fun and save a lot of time. and i still can use it for normal jr train in tokyo when it was still valid |

QUOTE(kehadapan @ Oct 6 2014, 05:23 PM) how many days u will be there ? refer to japan guide for guidance in osaka and kyoto. planning maybe 2 days in nagoya 2 days in kyoto and 2 days in osaka for accomodation, u can look in airbnb. make sure book it quick, save u alot of hassle. i once pay for RM370 for 1 week stay in shinagawa tokyo, quite a deal i guess. not that far from city centre also. as for accomodation..i dunno what to expect and how far is it from LRT |
