Hi all,
Just to share with you if you are arriving Haneda airport late at night like me.....I'll be reaching at 10.30pm, therefore it's abit risky to rush for the last train to the city and if you miss it, then hotel money also burn liao. After doing some research, i found out that the Keikyu bus is having extended their late night service, last bus is 1.30am. Therefore I decided to book a hotel near Kamata Station and take the bus there. Here's the link to more information : http://www.mlit.go.jp/common/001057349.pdf FYI, Late-night busses departing from Haneda will be running for a limited time from October 26, 2014 to March 31, 2015 only. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Dec 5 2014, 12:22 AM) Depends. My primary mission is to just finish the whole of Japan in 10 days so I'll get a primer of where else to focus on next time. In that context it feels that I've gotten my money's worth. Wow, you are very geng wor....salute youI already did 14 days in the Tokyo area last time. Now I just wanted to see how far I can get in 10 days. It was actually *decent* travelling - all things considered. I got to see *a lot* more than I initially thought I would. That said, I do feel I could have used some more time around Sapporo and Matsuyama. Which also holds true for everywhere else, but Sapporo and Matsuyama for me more than anywhere else. Also, I missed going to Hida-Takayama, but I was already on my last legs budget wise so what to do. But for *real* travelling, yeah, 20 days would have been better for this. Though costs wise it might be more of a problem: it would need twice the budget, for one thing. It's always a problem of covering more ground, or more depth. In this case I chose to cover more ground - at the sake of depth of course. While it's not optimal, as a time-limited *primer* trip to what Japan has got in store, it works quite well IMHO. |

QUOTE(yazoo @ Dec 5 2014, 04:47 PM) I have an experience using Keikyu bus to Kamata before. You need to go downstairs and out from the airport terminal. Try to find bus stop number 11, its at the very end. Other stops may have dispensers for you to buy ticket, but for your ride to Kamata you only pay to the driver when you board the bus. If I'm not mistaken only Yen 270 per person. Thanks, yazoo! |

when i went to Seoul this year, temperature was below 5c during day time and below 3c at night... I was wearing sport shoes...feet cramp ler and was cold even with heat tech socks. most sport shoes does not have this shock absorption thingy and feet tend to be real sore when you walk for whole day and 10days straight! Thats why this time I invest in better walking boots for more comfort.

QUOTE(Human Nature @ Dec 26 2014, 12:39 PM) i thought wagyu is a generic name..the different type of wagyu ie. kobe, matsusaka, omi refers to the breeding region Wagyu is a breed of cattle. Kobe beef means cattle that are raised in Kobe that get a speicalized treatment, that's why the meat is so perfectly marbles and just melts in your mouth. Kobe isn't the only type of special beef in Japan - there are other finishing treatments that produce even more marbled and tasty beef. Some of the other well known types (in Japan) are Mishima, Matsuzaka, and Omi. All use Wagyu cattle, but with different feeds an finishing techniques, all produce different results. So what Terry meant is, should she particularly eat Kobe beef or other breed of cattles |
