Will be back as I got unfinished business in USJ and Disney Parks. Harry Potter ride for example I missed out on as the queue was a whopping 220 minutes. Tasted Butterbeer though. The crowd in Japanese them parks are crazy to all 4 parks I've been to i.e. Tokyo Disneysea, Tokyo Disneyland, Fuji-Q Highland and Universal Studios Japan. So, so, so many people. The queue was 75 minutes on the Winnie The Pooh ride for example. Crazy.

Still enjoyed my time there in general. Google Translate app was a lot of help. Will definitely be back, if my health permits.

By the time I got to the park around 10, the fast passes were finished. And I kind of thought since school started on Monday the week before, there would be less of a crowd. I was dead wrong.

That's the plan! 1 question though, is that the norm with Japanese theme parks?? There is no such thing as a peak and non peak season? Did my research before going and found out that the school semester started on September 1st hence the expectation of a lesser crowd. Or did I get that wrong?

It always full of people. Japan has population of 127 Million. Malaysia just 30 Million. So it always full of People. Plus those tourist.......

Forgot to mention, I found the Haunted Hospital in Fuji-Q to be extremely disappointing. There was probably 3-4 scare attempts on the group of 4 of us throughout the walkthrough. Being in USS haunted house before, there was plenty of gaps/spaces and doorways that I was expecting the "ghosts' to pop out from but they didn't. Probably got bored seeing a group of 4 guys. And for the record, I did not run or anything. I have a dodgy knee, so running was out of the questions. Maybe if I had ran, they would probably be more inclined to chase after me.
*
LoL, that house are for 1 person challenge.4 Person sure ..............

Actually local train was quite fast and alot faster than our KTM and reliable, but makesure
u have sufficient time to get to the station, buying ticket, walk down to platform,
which was opposite to the arrival hall. One thing you can do is hand carry a medium
backpack instead of carry luguage, you will wasting quite some time during baggage collection.
*
Nop, Our KTM limited speed are 80Km/h. Japan Local Train speed limited to 70km/h Only. Limited Express are 130km/h

If compare on time. Japan Train are 99% On time.

Hiroshima ? Nothing much to see. The Atomic Site is just a small place, see photos enough.
All the lies they wrote about the war is also annoying. No need to go there.
*
Hiroshima extremely fun and tons of thing to see. I when there over 15 times...still going to discover more

Guys, and Sifus.. I want to ask. Is it necessary to book a rental car from an international rental car company such as EuropCar or ToCoo?

I mean, the rental car shops in Japan, do they usually have cars available, that I can just go on the spot and get one?

Because this ToCoo and EuropCar are very expensive compared to the rental car shop in Japan.
*
Can. But not recommend. If you online booking, If can save you alot of time while getting your car because you already fill in all detail the company wanted.
Plus online booking car might get cheaper rate also.

Well that is a must. I mean tips like, when I reached Haneda, aside from the Metro pass, anything else to do before going to hotel?
*
Do homework, Study the map of Haneda International Terminal. knowing the place save you 20 minute of time. You know the location of the Bus ticket machine.

You have to get bus ticket first before can go Q up at Bus platform.

But the thing is, even those online rental site had bad reputation before, that they dont have car available even though people made a booking. How crappy is that! Sigh..

I think  I need to call the rental car shops in Japan.. Whats the best/cheapest way to make IDD ya? Anyone know?
*
You can try more reliable company. Such as OTS or Nippon Rent a Car.

Yes, I was looking at Nissan because they got branch very close to Toyama station. But I feel like I have to call them to book properly. Is online booking sufficient for Nissan?

Would long john be an overkill for early december?
*
Depend your body can withstand how cold. At Tokyo early of December will be same as Genting Highland. 10-15 Celcius at Noon and 10 - 4 Celcius at Night

Kansai Area will be much more warmer. add 5 more celcius.

Hokkaido at December will be less than 10 celcius and minus 0 at night

Because that's the end of the line? The train network I mean..haha
*
Nop...Toyama City still got alot of train Line. Within City got Tram. It got Toyama Private Line to Whole Toyama region including Tateyama Alphine Station.

It got JRLine to Kanazawa and Niigata. Toyama was like a T Juntion. West going Kanazawa. East going Niigata. South going Takayama + Nagoya

Think of something like Haneda = Our old Subang Airport, Narita = KLIA.

That right. In Japan they call Narita Airport as ''New Tokyo Airport''

I think alot of you will be taking airsia to Haneda airport? And flight reaches there will be nearly midnight. So what do you do when you reach there? Check-in hotel? To me, it's not worth to waste a night stay at a hotel since it's so expensive. So I've come up with a plan, take a train to Yurakucho station, hang out at Jonathan's family restaurant (open 24 hours) and head to the tuna action at 4am at Tsujiki Fish Market. Also, have sushi breakfast there ;)

FYI, the last train from Haneda airport is at 12am.
*
Smart and well done home work people will take Bus. Then rest at Hotel. Fully energize for next sightseeing

Hi,
I'm planning a trip to Tokyo this Oct for 7-8 days...

1. what are your thoughts on whether its worth getting the Suica or Pasmo to use?
2. do they have an expiry for credits in it (meaning I can use it next year or next time I go again)?

Or is it just easier to use cash?
*
Pasmo or Suica are same. Touch and Go. Just diffrent company. Both also Accept by shop and transport company.

It last 10 years
