Hi, I'm looking for macro lens but don't know which one suite me the best. There are three choices

1. AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED - RM3xxx
2. Tamron 90mm f/2.8 SP Di MACRO VC USD - RM2xxx
3. Sigma 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS Macro HSM - RM2xxx

Currently using D7000 but soon will upgrade to full frame.

Thanks for your help

If budget is not a problem, then definitely the Nikon rclxms.gif
At this point the Nikon and Canon 105/100mm macro lenses are still the top among the list in terms of overall performance, do read the reviews if you are interested icon_rolleyes.gif

If you are considering the sigma, try the sigma 150mm f2.8 OS macro lens. It's one of the macro lens that stands out among the crowd for the unusual long focal length (150mm, compared to normal 100/90/60mm macro lenses). The image quality is excellent too.

I am using the Nikon 105mm F2.8 VR both as a macro and portrait lens wub.gif
Its a very good lens, and I love it more than my 24-70mm F2.8 haha laugh.gif

Please do take note that the higher the focal length (e.g. 150mm vs. 60mm) means that you can achieve 1:1 magnification at a farther distance, which may not be a good thing since the farther away you are, the higher the susceptibility to shakes. Can read here if you want to know more: http://pixelsdimension.com/magnification-f...sked-questions/

Happy choosing icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm looking for 105mm f/2.8 (macro) as i already have Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8, there is no need 150mm for me smile.gif

Wah drool.gif I've always wanted a 70-200, great lens there~

I am shooting most of my photos using a Nikon D800; the high MP count makes it one of the best macro cameras out there drool.gif
I am also occasionally shooting with an old Nikon D90 as well, DX cameras are good too since they are more portable, and of course, offer 1.5x crop ratio (magnification) drool.gif
