Check out this website Up and Away Bali Tours - Surf Info

It is the nearest. U can go to Aussie and San Deigo if you want la =P. But I guess I'll be going to Bali to learn how to surf. Cheaper wei.

i used to surf in lagoon every friday after school when i was in f5 hahaha... thats liek almost 7 yrs back.

then i surfed in cherating every year end during the monsoon. its not difficult as long as u can swim. cos the currents can get pretty strong, u need to paddle hard and also tahan the wipe outs. get the other surfers there to teach u. lots of volunteer teachers if u're a girl hahaa... ppl who say msian waves not suitable for surfing is nonsense. go to cherating this weekend, u'll c about 30 surfers there. a bit crowded.. try to go during weekdays. check online sources for wind/wave forecast. good luck!

I'm a Club Med surfer and a rescuer rclxm9.gif

But that was like 3 years ago. Now no more.

Cherating is a nice place to surf but dangerous too for those inexperience. I remembered one guy, 17 years old drown there and we were called for rescue. Took us 3 days to locate the body which is by then beyong recognition coz of the fishes been eating him up sweat.gif
