does it really makes a difference when you change your guitar strings?

for example I heard that elixir strings sounds better than the ones that came wuth the guitar.

any opinion on that? smile.gif

Many opinions here. But backsearches could take awhile or you can post up here.

I don't like the sounds on fairly new strings, any brand. Worn out, slight rust would be comfortable for me.

Of course. But not necessarily elixir. That one only marketing

For me, it must be d'addario. Soft, easy to bend, nice tone, very hard to corrode on me.

Brand selection really depends on your preferences.

I use elixir and martin lifespan sp. TO ME, elixir is kinda bright and last quite long. The string sound dead before rusted. Martin lifespan sp sound warmer. But rust faster than elixir.

1 thing for sure, elixir is more slippery than Martin.
Thats how i feel anyway.
