It looks like my bootloader is locked as it does not show the green UNLOCKED text from uncle Benny's screenshots. I cannot execute fastboot commands.

I'm also updating to 4.4.2 tonight....fingers crossed.

TiBu done, CWM done, Nova backup done. Let's see how it goes.

Why would you do that? After the ROM is flashed, it already contains Recovery and Fastboot within the update.app

Did you flash from a different version ?

For some reason I cannot access Fastboot now.
BTW All,

Did anyone get Xposed working? The old trick of ro.config.hwtheme = 0 does not work and Xposed won't install.
UPDATE: OK saw you updated and flashed different ROM versions.

And now my fastboot is showing Device Unlocked !!!! Yeah !!!

Anyone now flashing the CWM 6.0.4.7 ?

oh, i wonder why.... first i search for amazon app in Play store, its not even listed under the "amazon mobile LLC" list of apps.. then i search in the list of apps i've installed before, found it, but then it says not compatible and can't install..

is it because u installed the apps from backup?

since u used note3 before. how do you compare x1 to note3? biggrin.gif

i use skinny jeans, still can fit in although it is the maximum it can go biggrin.gif

as compared to Note3, i think they are different in many way.. Note3 is like one of the best smartphone, at a phablet size.. but X1 giving advantage on screen size and battery life, other than that nothing else spectacular, performance wise its a bit slow compared to other flagship nowadays, but it can get the job done and doesn't give me migraine.. why i love X1 very much because i'm taking advantage of the big screen for reading and media, at the same time doesn't have to worry about battery left..

got myself a Galaxy Tab s 8.4.. thought of wanna replace my X1..

but i'm now really torn apart.. after trying to use it, put aside my X1, really feels there are some trade off..

first of all, size.. X1 has been a perfect size for my media consumption, because it is pocketable.. the tab s 8.4 is really not pocketable.. can't get into any of my pant's pocket.. lol.. so using it to listen to music is cumbersome as i need to hold it all the time.. i always use X1 while working in the lab to listen to music.. so for this tab S, its not possible as it needs me to hold it (my hands need to hold pipette!)

but on another note, the bigger screen is a benefit when it come to viewing, of course.. web browsing, movies etc.. and reading as well.. love it to read journals. but, also due to larger size, it is harder to hold longer for typing, its more convenient on X1.

battery life.. its nowhere near to what X1 have.. although battery capacity Tab S=4900 mah, X1=5000mah.. but tab S battery life is just pretty standard like other smartphones.. while X1 battery life is super long.. so its another trade off..

sound quality! uhhhh... being a chinese manufactured, new boy in the block, but the X1 sounds a lot better when listening music via earphones compared to Tab S.. its a bit surprising, and seems like samsung really neglected this part of area.

design wise and functionality though, i have to give it to Tab S.. beautifully crafted, very slim, good design, good screen (but i still prefer X1 IPS screen, more natural), fingerprint, microSD slot, stereo loudspeaker, LTE, it have almost anything you want for a mobile device.. Touchwiz also added many more personalised functions.

so, for those of you who think to switch to Tab S, think again.. for me, there is still nothing in the current market that can replace X1.. its almost perfect! if i can turn back time, i will not buy a Tab S 8.4 if it is just to replace X1. but now that i already did.. one of them must go, as usual.. for future proof, i think i have to choose Tab S, sadly..

X1 still the best!
