Hi guys, i got mediapad S7-301u (yes, it is not same model as you all) but at the huawei S7-301u topic are not active so i ask here general question.
http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/prod.../s7-301u-en.htmMy mediapad behave wierdly last week. The touchscreen going crazy..the screen going
'touch' or 'working' itself without any touches from my finger. its moving around the screen,
open close the icon itself like crazy.
i manage to get it stop by forcing shutdown. After restart it seem OK for a while before
the touchscreen not working at all now. not even response to any touches. cannot use the tablet anymore but the screen is ON..i can see there are the activity when call in or SMS in or whatsapp in..but i just cannot open due to touchscreen not work.
If some one else experienced this, what kind of problem is this? for the info, i just
replace new touchscreen last 6 months (previous original screen is having faulty on some touch point but not fully faulty). After 6 months with new replacement now this problem happen. Is it hardware or software?
I just download the latest firmware from the website.
(HUAWEI_S7-301u_FIRMWARE_Android4.0_C232B005_General_Channel_05010YBX)
In the update file i can see inside there are one folder name 'touchscreen' together
with other image file. In the touchscreen folder got 5 image file.
I dont want to update full package as i will be losing all my data due to package update.
So, the question is, can i only update the 'touchscreen' software by deleting other
software image and update the tablet touchscreen file using memory card via power+vol UP button,
so only the touchscreen file being update? is it possible? have anyone try?
Hi all, yes I also have the 301u, damned good device for its time, and mine is still functioning, but the top left corner of the screen in landscape mode is not responsive.
You managed to get a screen replacement ? Where was it replaced? I know how to dismantle it, and can probably swap back your old screen in.
You cannot flash in the "touchscreen" folder only, and yours sounds like a hardware problem. You can try to use a USB OTG cable and connect a mouse to it for the time being for navigation.
