I joined Celebrities Fitness around May last year, and had paid for the 1st and last installment for 1 year contract, i signed up using auto-debit from my credit card, and when it come to May this year, they basically draw money from my credit card and ignore the fact that I already pay in advance last year. I called up their service department as well as checking it with their staff on duty in the club but they never give any solid respond toward the case and keep delaying with no answer. Just wonder if anyone encounter problem like this? Am i suppose to report this to my bank or file a dispute to the related organization for action taken?

I suggest to not use auto debit to avoid such case in future, whether it's human mistake, technical error or they did it on purpose, bank and merchant cannot be trusted.

Submit cr card dispute form to the bank and they will reverse while clarifying with merchant.

Customer always get benefit of the doubt.

There was once I got charged two months extra for no apparent reason. Went to their hq and complained, they said they'll stop charging me for the next two months but somehow they couldn't overwrite their system cuz I still see them charging me the next month. After four months I got fed up and demanded to see their manager for cash refund. They paid me back after two weeks.

yea all this while i knew big gym like CF and FF always con people with such a tricks, where u either didn't notice the advanced payment or the double charges in CC balance that we might end up not seeing it, and their processing take forever (or never since i never trust those lazy staff to handle the case)

that's why i choose to report it to my CC provider since i think it probably more efficient in solving this matter.
Called CF 3 times yesterday and again they ask me to wait for their call and never call back, had all the name that i contact listed down too, gonna pass a copy of my contract, statement and the name list to the bank to aid in refund.
