Hai !! Guys  Need guidance from sifu.
Scroll thru the last 10 pages but nothing on the beetle, quite alots of comments on jetta, tiguan, passat, golf, etc, etc.

Thinking on getting a 2 hand 2013 beetle 1.2. From reading on forum it seems that this beetle has this bugs (mecha, clutch, etc) too.

Question;
1) How do i check the condition of mecha, clutch or any other major component?
2)How to check if the mecha had been replace during the campaign?
Appreciate your experiences on this beetle matter. Thanks

i would recommend to bring it to service center to get it checked prior to purchasing. It only cost about 80 to 120 bucks.

SC could also check the service history and parts that had been replaced

Thanks for the advise
. Can i just go to any authorise SC to check the condition of the mecha, clutch and other major component?
For Rm80-Rm120 it justify to know the condition of the car before purchase. 😀
Does it not require a proper machine to check the said component?

Yes, do bring it to VW SC. They would have the equipment such as EKG to test. But do mention to them what you wanted to test. I presume it would cost more with those kinda test.
