4 years ago, Sony had launched their 1st mirrorless camera - NEX-3 & NEX-5. with compact size with Exmor APS-C HD CMOS sensor, they had successfully becomes one of the preferred brand in mirrorless camera market, since that, they launched NEX-7 (year 2011), NEX-6 (year 2012), the most budget mirrorless camera with hotshoe - A3000 (year 2103), and their 1st Full Frame image sensor mirrorless camera - ILCE-7 & 7R, in 2013

this year, Sony had launched their 1st mirrorless camera with superior performance camera - Sony A6000 (ILCE-6000)
with the combination of 24MP Exmor APS-C HD CMOS sensor & BIONZ X image processor, enable A6000 to capture stunning image quality photo even with high ISO sensitivity setting. what's more, A6000 is well known as the fastest AF performance in APS-C sensor mirrorless camera. with the phase detection AF sensor which cover 92% of the whole image sensor, which is wider coverage compare with predecessor - NEX-6's 99-point PDAF sensor, A6000's 179-point PDAF sensor enables user can focus subject regardless the subject is positioned at center or corner of the frame. of course, with better phase detection autofocus sensor with contrast detection autofocus, A6000 focus subject with even faster and more precise, no matter in capture photo or video recording.
A6000 is the replacement model of both NEX-7 and NEX-6. in terms of imaging, A6000 has significantly improved compare with NEX-7, and marginally better than NEX-6. how about video? they capable for record AVCHD 1080p with 50fps progressive. other than autofocus performance, their video quality is almost the same.

here's few website which had provide A6000's review :

Imaging Resource - Sony ILCE-6000
Digital Photography Review - Sony ILCE-6000 - dpreview had given Gold Award to A6000
Cnet - Sony ILCE-6000 - Editor's choice @ 2014
What Digital Camera - Sony ILCE-6000 - rated 90/100 and Gold Award

A6000 better than RX100 mark III. A6000 have larger image sensor, faster and better accuracy autofocus performance, and hotshoe for accessories expansion (variety of external flashes)
