QUOTE(kennethkee93 @ Jul 6 2014, 06:10 PM) Here, http://en.miui.com/download-101.html#164 make sure you download the correct one. Don't download TDCMA rom. What's the difference between Version: KXDCNBE18.0 (V5) & Version: JXDMYBD14.0 (V5) |

QUOTE(kennethkee93 @ Jul 6 2014, 07:20 PM) Since you already know one is China rom, another is Malaysia rom, the difference between the both simply put Orite meaning that it is just like the Dev Rom i have been using before in my previous device S3.China rom = the most original MIUI, contains features and apps specifically for China users, etc. Directory MY rom = rip off from China rom and add in Google apps, you won't able to see MiMarket here. Don't worry about the languages provided, English is always available in all MIUI roms. Ok got it. |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Jul 6 2014, 08:03 PM) China ROM. Thanks bro - i understand now You get Mi market instead of Google Apps. You can reinstall Google Apps to make them work again. There's few differences here and there, but fundamentally not much different. Like some forum members pointed out, I also felt volume is louder during calls. |

QUOTE(andrekua2 @ Jul 7 2014, 04:24 PM) Still far from perfect. Where to get the KitKat?After installing Kitkat, I tried Google camera app and instantly can see the difference in term of focusing speed and sharpness. Really something wrong with Mi3 camera app. Xiaomi is definitely doing something wrong. Either they suck or too much compression. From the develpment ROM? |

QUOTE(adamw @ Jul 7 2014, 06:10 PM) Normally, done in recovery when flashing a new rom, why do you want to do that for? This is good - better than nothing but i still prefer TWRP - well for the time being this is one will do until TWRP is available for Mi3.Install CWM here http://en.miui.com/thread-13682-1-1.html |

QUOTE(chlim @ Jul 8 2014, 10:54 PM) Such a pain to get back the MY rom need to flash with PC using mi tool first with stable JB China rom than only recovery flash the MY rom. Haih! If going to dev rom on kitkat maybe no need but I doubt can solve the call problem. So play if safe MY rom for me. Why don't you backup your MY rom b4 flashing the CN rom?If you have the backup MY rom all you need to do is just RESTORE. |
