Seems like the Mi3 sales yesterday was a troublesome one? BTW, a 35 second sales was really fast!!

Mine Piston 2.0 still stuck at pos office..
awaiting me to collect...

Hope can get by tomorrow and giv some review...
*
Using it for a month ady... Seriously quite bassy but still manage to retain a very nice vocal la...

Not really a audiophile earphone but it does have a very good sound for average consumer.

It is my sports earphone now, and the really good earphone that satisfy currently is the ATH IM50...

For those who are ordering Mi Piston earphone and want some comparison, here are some of my thought
All were powered by the same Mi3, same EQ, unamped and no DAC, very original.

CKS55 VS Mi Piston
CKS55 has a better impact but Mi Piston hits you harder. Both are crystal clear but CKS55 provide you a much sweeter female vocal. It feels like Mi Piston has wider soundstage though. Vocal is being layered too backward when compare to the CKS55. CKS55 serves more like a all rounder here while Mi Piston is a bassy earphone.

urBeats VS Mi Piston
Mi Piston trashes the urBeats everywhere. urBeats is being too boomy and the bass is really least refined compare to the Mi Piston. Treble wise, Mi Piston wins by a mile. Very full and crisp while urBeats is muffled shakehead.gif

Hippo Black VS Mi Piston
Both is bassy and both have similar clarity, just the Hippo layers the vocal very backward and the bass is less refined. The Mi Piston sound more clearer and bass is much more controlled than the Hippo.

IM50 VS Mi Piston
Not a same level comparison here, the IM50 trashes the Mi Piston everywhere, from the vocal down to the bass. It sounds very full and everything is much more transparent on IM50. On the other hand, Mi Piston sounds really like a different league. Duo dynamic driver really makes that great difference. nod.gif

Does the Mi Piston sounds that bad after seeing those comparison? Definitely no, you can notice the Mi Piston is actually beaten by sub-200 to 300 bucks earphone, while the price of itself is just below RM100, so it is performing very very well.

Just grab it if you wan some decent earphone without big hole in your pocket! smile.gif

i think must be sensor problems, no matter how i try, still not able to do it, but the digital camera can easy do it, with even 1/60s can do it... sweat.gif

just tried with my phone, ISO1600 and above and 1/1000s and faster, i just simply got a black screen! doh.gif

Audio kaki questions:

Any good improvement over the stock EQ? I found that the Xiaomi Piston EQ mode boosts the mid too much and my IM50 hisses a lot. Any solution?

Currently was trying to tune the EQ to see whether will it solve the problem...

ur piston genuine? disable stock EQ & use viper4android.

Sure the Piston is genuine... I bought it from the Chinese Xiaomi site. The most hissing i heard from is the ATH IM50... Hisses a lot... unbearable.. doh.gif

Iis there any difference between Mi In-Ear Headphone and piston 2.0?

Mi in ear is the general earphone but Mi Piston is a much more exclusive level earphone i think.

The score is consider normal, where usually those high scores you saw is under heavy optimization. Antutu is just a reference only, which unless the reason you buy the phone is just for showing off benchmark scores  tongue.gif

*
Well, actually one of the reason was really to show off the scores! haha, snapdragon 800 for RM1000[My 64GB unit] simply awesome!

Do you have the Original screen protector removed yet?
The original screen protector will block the sensor.
