If you are using a Xiaomi Mi 3 in Singapore, you will be happy to know that a software update is on the way.
We received word from Xiaomi that the Android 4.4 KitKat update, also known as the MIUI ROM 4.5.9, will be rolled out to Mi 3 devices in Singapore later this month. The Mi 3 model currently runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
The Philippines is the first overseas market to sell the Mi 3 which is preloaded with MIUI V5 running on Android 4.4. The full changelog of the update can be found in the source link below. We've selected several new features to highlight:
Number of an app's notifications shown on it's icon supports third-party customization
App names and other home screen elements will automatically change colors with wallpapers
Support syncing songs to Mi Cloud
Month view style for Calendar app
