Kudos to the mods. This thread really deserves to be in kopitiam coz it really looks like one. I never seen a android device thread with so much chaos and unrelated/repeated/irritating posts/sales posts.

Btw, after half day consideration, decided to pay for the mi3 i got yesterday. It will be my spare phone and my tracking device for my 8-year-old when he is attending tuition.

dun worry, i know the rule. Actually i already got 1 from the very first sales but gave it to my sister as birthday present after trying it for 1 week.

No, it is not his. I will pass it to him when attending tuition class, so that he can call us if there is any emergency. I doubt he will have many chance to use it.

And yes, he has a Nexus 7 2013 WiFi but can only play max 15-20 mins during schooling days and max 1 hours during weekends and the tablet is not allowed to be brought out at all time except if we are going overseas for vacation. I have strict time limit for them, if they exceed the time too much, then next day's time slot will be forfeited.

coz all the posts sound more like kopitiam talk than serious Android device talk with all the implicit and explicit sales posts, delivery tracking update, venting of anger (when cannot get the device) and showing off (when successful grab one or even a few) and the ensuing reports of posts here and there make the mods really fed up.

I think not going to make any difference if it is still the same TS and the same kinds of posts. Like i mention before in the previous thread - unless a mod become the TS and put a big big warning there banning those sales posts and have the authority to remove posts, hard to change ppl's habits.

unfortunately you are part of the problem with the longest list of Sales Listing as your signature as a TS of an official thread. You can check other devices official thread, no TS put a loooooooooooooong list of sales thread as their signature. So apart of the users who are annoyed at the big gaps at the first few posts at the first page becoz of the sales listing, other sellers also feeling not fair as your "advertisement" is displayed big big there at the first page while theirs can't. And moreover, you always ketuk them when they post sales related posts as if you are more superior than them just becoz you are the TS. So inevitably, they will report your posts, you might have reported their post too and I can imagine how fed up the mods is with all the daily "reports" to them.

If you are sincerely want to be a good TS for the mi3 thread, you should either remove your sales listings in your signature or let another member to be TS, just to be fair to everyone.

Of course, this is just my unworthy 2 sen. No offence, but i am not pointing finger to you personally, just want to highlight the obvious.

Whether my "accusation" is true or not is in everyone's heart i think, no need for us to argue. I just state what is in my mind, you can disagree, others can disagree too.

You may not see there's a conflict of interest but others may. So just to be fair (at least looks to be fair), you should remove your sales listing at your signature or may I suggest you reduce it into 1 line like "WTS: All Xiao Mi goodies" or something like that then point it to your search profile. Put it in the other way, if all the other TS is doing the same, do you think it is a good trend for the Android section?

I dun doubt you are passionate about mi3 but being a TS of an official thread has to bear more responsibility than just passionate about the device. You will need passion, time, knowledge and discipline.

For me, being a TS is like being the coordinator for that device thread to bring all the useful information in the first few posts so that owners and potential owners can check out the info easily. And less repeated questions will be asked and less clustered the thread will be. I undertand the hard work of the TS very much coz i was once a HTC Desire HD's TS before. We took turns to become TS and thus the opening posts will have different presentation every time a new TS take responsibility. Thus, every time it is very refreshing when there is a new version. The rotation will also not burden a single member for too long coz everyone just in charge of 1 version.

Anyway, it is up to the mods now.

Yes, for a new 5,200mAh and i also thought it DOA but after that used more force to push the connector in then ok already. I think 10,400mAh model is not so tight.
