QUOTE(shawnloong @ Jul 13 2014, 04:13 PM) Anyone experiencing a very hot charger? I just started charging my new Mi3 and realises the charger gets super hot! Should I be worried? Is it a faulty product? check if anything running in background.. hot battery usually caused by heavy graphic games running unclosed..

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jul 14 2014, 12:41 AM) Guys, please stop fighting. Actually blackamikaze is right. I can only buy one phone, ANd that phone must last like 3 years. (updates not important). As long as functioning and can last 3 years +.My sister initially wanted to buy xperia t cause is advertise in the newspaper by courts. But seeing the specs of that phone, I decided she is better off with mi3 or xperia z1c Price Xperia t : RM650 xiaomi mi3 : RM769 Xperia z1C : RM1269 Hey if xiaomi can phone can work as good as z1c, I don't mind buying mi3. My initial thought was get my sister the xiaomi cause difference only rm119, Then I thought, let us look at xperia z1c price. But xperia z1c is too pricey. I really wanted to buy xiaomi until I found out about the bugs affecting signals, calls, sms. Basic stuff. So I am still confuse. I need more info to see whether you guys experience those bugs. Hope that clears things up. . 1st thing 1st.. if budget tight.. get what u can afford only, no need to push your wallet and eat maggi just for a phone.. else mi3 come with great specs, but specs doesn't mean mi3 is the best.. for the sub-800-price.. u can expect some flaws that still acceptable.. which u may find on other phone like xperia.. it's not impossible to happened.. for me mi3 is good value phone.. to be use for 3 years is varies, depends on usage.. what the real purpose.. if heavy user, u might need to change battery in next 1 and half year.. so consider that too..

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Jul 14 2014, 01:41 AM) I can actually get it cheaper AP set for 2 years warranty. But not sure that is the way to go or not. 2 years warranty, cheaper price vs 1 year warranty at slightly more pricey (aboout RM30 difference) I haven't actually discuss it with my sister. Cause I know she will use anything I get for her. But it is my parents who I have to go through. They have the mentality that china phones are of no quality. Can explode anytime. But I am totally cool with this China phone seeing that Singaporean grab it, all phones are made in china nowadays andthey have someone previously from Google. The thing I scared is the phone suddenly cannot call or sms. Another reason holding me back is I read in the MIUI forums, Xiaomi takes your money and dont care about you. I don't like to give my money to somebody like that. That is why I do not like to do business with apple. Drop my ipad 2 and they refuse to service for me saying it is against apple's policy to open up the ipad. there's no 2 years warranty from Xiaomi itself.. and there is few service centre around peninsular that u can go there and claim for warranty purpose.. so far from what I read here (somewhere), they're nice, some got replacement unit for their mi3.. can explode or not, varies.. even blackberry got cases of explode.. u judge..

QUOTE(N1ck @ Jul 17 2014, 05:54 PM) First time posting here. Broke my screen. Any outside service center place to repair my phone?Service center will take too long, am not willing to leave my phone there for days as my phone semi works. sorry, any recommendation of outside service center will be claimed as promoting & advertising and may trigger alarm from TS.. but I would recommend u to buy the screen replacement (maybe include digitizer) and follow this tutorial from official MIUI forum
