help guys, my mi3 stuck on boot.

In Updater app, i tap check update, it says I'm running latest version. Running on MIUI JXDMYBD14.0 btw. When I tap on the menu capacitive button, i choose Get latest version of MIUI. The bottom Update option showing (534.5MB). So I juz tap it and let it update.

After it finish updating, rebooting, now stucked at the mi xiaomi.com logo. doh.gif

I tried holding down the power button, it black screen for a while, then still stuck at the mi xiaomi.com logo. icon_question.gif

Masuk recovery wipe cache first.
Sudah ada backup ka?
If not - better backup.
I dun know how you gonna do it but find a way to do backup in bootloop situation - good luck.

Try wipe the cache in recovery modein system 1.
Before that try connect to pc and transfer whatever you have inside especially the backup folder to thr pc.
To go into recovery mode press volume up and power button both at the same time despite the bootloop.

done wiping cache, but not sure in system 1 or 2. doh.gif

Try booting System 2, bootloop. Try booting System 1, can boot up dy, my data all intact.

1 question though, can we check which system we are defaulted to use? 1 or 2?

I use system 1.
Now that you are safe laugh.gif
Make a copy on whatever you have inside the Mi3 icon_idea.gif

thx bro. not used to xiaomi's recovery. used to twrp. lol. time to explore a bit.

btw guys, after i notice the update, i dl-ed, i notice there is this zip file in my archives.

miui_MI3WMY_JXDMYBD14.0_c1a1aed6fb_4.3.zip

I think this is the update file right? nid to flash on our own?

First time updating miui. sweat.gif
*
That is the zip file that you just updated in the "downloaded-ROM" folder - no need to reflash again.
You may delete that zip file.
Yes I prefer twrp among all the custom recovery.

Many people having hearing loss which they never realised until they do a 6 band hearing test, early symptoms love to listen to loud music, talk loud, alway blast their music either in car, house or using earphone/headset. ..lol

Don't know woh ! but I feel Xiaomi thru earphone definitely beat the hell out of my Mega & Mini, speakers pointless as all come with 1 speaker, cannot beat my antique Nokia 6233 with stereo speaker. .wakakaka

Aku guna default speaker with stock ROM pun dah cukup kuat.
Maybe the environment is a bit noisy - mine environment is always cozy cool2.gif

I read on the miui forum.  Rooting and flashing developer rom won't void warranty:
Refer question 10 in  the  following thread :

http://en.miui.com/thread-26650-1-1.html

Did anyone asked/confirm in xiaomi fb before?

Ok thanks.
