Hey all, I am trying to make custom ringtones. But when I download into the Ringtone folder and browse it when I want to change in the theme/setting, cannot detect the files? Happen to a few MP3. What happened ah?

Filename is in Chinese characters? If Chinese characters, then it won't find if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks bro, i also facing same issue, but not many ppl facing this issue...after it search for network, do you need to unlock SIM again? (key in 0123) ...just want to compare if similar issue and if there is a way to fix it. I send to SC, no use...they just format and boot into system2 for me. sad.gif

1. Call dropped (signal lost-zero) after ring one time when ppl called in
2. Call dropped (signal lost-zero) after ring one time when i call out
3. Call dropped (signal lost-zero) during middle of conversation

The problem is intermittent though, because i seldom call and receive call. Btw, i'm using Maxis...my friend using Digi, no such issue.
*
I think drop calls I have encounter before on stable Malaysia ROM but not this severe. I think the China ROM is totally on another level.

For example, I initiate a call to my client. Half way through, it disconnect and network loss signal. Then it found signal and client calling back was instantly disconnect after one ring. Loss signal again and on back. This time I call again and as soon as my client pick up, it disconnect. Very very strange.

Still happening now even after clearing APN. Now I tried clear cache in recovery.

Never experienced call problems when I was on MY rom, started to have drop call using stable China kitkat rom.  Now I'm back to MY rom. Will update tomorrow after some use. Maxis user also.

Need to wipe right?

I think I will wipe and flash Dev ROM. Really love the update along with Google camera.

Update: On second thought, update to Dev rom no need wipe. So just upgrade again for me. If still persist, then only wipe and downgrade.

any more complaints from this thread, i'll move it again to kopitiam.

because u guys are behaving like it
*
I wonder whats the complaint now?

Most of the scalpers/resellers/deliveries/orders replies are pretty much limited now. Most are pretty decent information sharing about phone usage, rom discussion etc.

I've sync many of my photos into Mi Cloud. Unfortunately I've cleaned all the galery cache files and need to re-download those images from the Cloud server. The problem is while I'm connected to my home wi-fi, it appears "Download paused: Will resume when wi-fi connection is available". Is there any solution for this issue? It will be much appreciated.
*
Maybe you can check Settings>Sync

Turn off sync on WLAN only.

Just updated to Dev ROM from China KitKat stable. It seem like it was flashed onto system 2 instead this time.

Straightaway feel some difference over stable version. The stable version seem to have more apps like directory, and few more than I can't remember. Response is definitely better and slightly faster. Some app now show pop up windows with Chinese instead of English.

Tomorrow I will test the camera app and network signal again.

Update:

I already made a few calls as well as receiving a couple of them at the same location. So far, no strange disconnection like it was with the China stable ROM. So far so good.

Secondly, update on the camera app. I think MIUI stock camera app still a bit off when it comes to focusing. Just a simple test with keyboard snap, revealed letters were slightly blur compared to Google Camera app. Even the keys edge were much sharper.

It happened intermittently, you can't find a symptom, i'm facing in different location (within KV), call from different ppl, using difference firmware....the only same is using Maxis. some other ppl also facing similar issue in Miui forum...just want to know in Lowyat forum, how many other using Maxis, but nvr facing any issue. This will be helpful if someone using maxis, from Penang or JB, but nvr have issue, only ppl from KV facing this issue....then we can conclude sth....or whole malaysia Maxis mi3 user also facing this issue....

Those who complaint Mi3 volume low, should have their ear check thru 6 bands Hearing Test...lol

I plug in Samsung earphones, crystal clear, even better than when i plug Samsung earphones to Samsung phone..
*
Yes, Mi3 stock JB firmware sound is very soft. Headphone out also same. Surprised? I don't need hearing test to confirm this. Yes, I like it this loud, so?

Samsung earphone crystal clear? LoL...

Dev rom this week uses more RAM..

Anyone else?
*
A bit lag when scrolling in browser? Tried GPU acceleration also same. This is after I just heard reset to double confirm whether or not my network problem was caused by upgrading straight from MY ROM without wipe.

If you are referring to the mic usage, then you have to use iPhone compatible headset.

Many people having hearing loss which they never realised until they do a 6 band hearing test, early symptoms love to listen to loud music, talk loud, alway blast their music either in car, house or using earphone/headset. ..lol

Don't know woh ! but I feel Xiaomi thru earphone definitely beat the hell out of my Mega & Mini, speakers pointless as all come with 1 speaker, cannot beat my antique Nokia 6233 with stereo speaker. .wakakaka

Yes. It's actually using WiFi, A-GPS and GPS.

If not mistaken, it's said telco charge 10c when user did not have days plan. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

"I've encountered a problem of which when I received a call, or make a call out and connected to the recipient, the network gone flat. I have to re-key in my pin code everytime the network is lost. I am using Maxis line and this issue occurs only when I am set to 3G preferred only settings and everything is good when I set my network preference to 2g prefered network.

I have updated to 4.7.12 today with the hope that the issue might be rectify but it was not.
Device: Xiaomi Mi3 (WCDMA)
Firmware: Dev Rom 4.7.12
Network: Maxis

Dev team please look into this issue or else it basically means that the phone can only use 2G if this problem is not solved. "

Anyone encounter this issue?
*
I dont know if I had it with the stable MY ROM but it must be very rare.

It started when I flashed mine to Stable KitKat China ROM. It was severe, almost 75% of the calls being affected. Then I flashed Dev ROM and was okay for whole day. Then suddenly it starts again... Going crazy with 75% network lost probability.

I just wiped clean on Saturday after updated to the newest dev (.11) ROM. Only had 2-3 calls but no problem yet. I will monitor and update tomorrow because the most severe location is my office. Will get to test it tomorrow. Even 2G only also will network lost. I'm also testing turning off data while there's incoming call. Will update definitely.

Luckily I'm not so dependent on calls. Probably had 20 or so calls per day. Even then 75% is high...

FYI, I did not wipe when updating from MY to China Stable KitKat, then to dev ROM. Only wipe on Saturday after it returned a day after flashing dev rom.

I noticed that the latest developer ROM changed the way task manager behaved. Before this, it usually close every app after the phone went into sleep for certain amount of time. Now, it stop killing apps and end up using more RAM instead.

Mine is still 4.4.2 (using Dev ROM 4.7.4 )

maybe DEV ROM 4.7.11 is 4.4.3 already..
but I am still thinking to switch over or stick with currently ( so far 4.7.4 serve me the best )...

because i read the changelog for 4.7.11, it is more toward MiPad fixing, not much on Mi3, soooooooo..........

Can you found any different on 4.4.3 ? compare with 4.4.2 ?? :blur:
*
I think miui stop killing background app with 4.7.11

Woke up and apps I ran yesterday before sleep are still in task manager. Personally feel this is the best.

Just want to share the earlier experience of my Google Maps, Google Installer and Mi Market were suddenly not functioning even tried to reinstall. At first I thought it was due to flashing to 4.7.11.

Finally found out the main root cause was due to whenever the phone battery drops below 30%, the system will automatically shutdown the above apps. It's a good learning here  smile.gif

You must have setup the power setting in security app.

Anyway, just to update.. I'm still experiencing network lost even after wiping. Either China ROM or Maxis problem. Really weird... I'm trying to see if turning off data when incoming call will help or not.
