Bumping means to create a post in a thread for the sole purpose of moving the thread up to the top of the list of threads that you see in the forum. This is done to prevent threads sinking into page 2 or page 3 or below, because threads on page 2 and below are seldom visited and replied. Anyway, that's the old way of bumping.
The new way of bumping a thread in here is to use the BUMP button near the bottom of the page. I guess this will minimise traffic and storage usage because of all the unneccesary posts in a thread just to move it up. |
