Add math isn't very important. Take math in A levels, which I believe will cover the add math void. Further math is a completely different monster.
My university had a module for finance/econs students who did not take add math in high school or math in a levels (Add math on crack!). Sometimes, you're not the problem...it's just that the way math is being taught at schools is off putting. I personally dropped add math.
Maths in A-Levels is all Add Maths fyi, and that's only the first sem syllabus. If you already cannot cope with Add Maths during SPM, unless you work really hard during A-Levels, don't expect to get good grades. My university had a module for finance/econs students who did not take add math in high school or math in a levels (Add math on crack!). Besides, without Add Maths knowledge, how can a person cope with mathematics in a Finance or Economics course?
