Martingale based strategy has been exist for long time in FX trading arena, especially retail trading like us. If you simply check those monthly contest, myfxbook top performer, zulu and so on, you can see a lot of signal provider having a very very smooth equity for 3 years and above (which made me envy and jealous). Debate is on going, expert A said it works, expert B said it doesn't work due to market is random and bla bla bla .... I personally does not use martingale system and I will never use it because I am a true believer market is random. How about you guys here, please discuss smile.gif

Martigale works for me, been with the system for more than a year and still profiting. IMHO, just take good care of the MM and lot management, don't be greedy try to strike big, then it gonna last long with consistent profit. icon_rolleyes.gif better small than blown account.

PS: Must be modified Martingale like Mix Martial Art (MMA).

Because it seldom happen?? hahaha good answer!!

Mind to tell me when you hit 12-14 losing streak, what is your drawdown like? I am just curious only, because martingale system beat even the best trader in the world in monthly contest, and of course the capital is smaller from what I observed.

Please post a link here if anyone in zulu is trading million dollar account with a very smooth equity curve ya, I wanted to have a study on them, just out of curiosity smile.gif

Well, you can laugh all the way just like any other when they saw me using this system/strategies, saying it gonna blown in 3 months time. But I made it thru 1 year+. Now that guy dare not to say a word.. smile.gif The DD is hover around 15-20%.

What you see from the monthly contest, the trader probably uses high risk high return martingale with bigger lotsize, if trend goes his way, he will make it, pure luck. All/Most of the contest use only demo account, so got nothing to lose. Probably that month only the trader reach 4-5 level which the capital can sustain the DD. For example, there is one month last year which I made 3k+ pips. If I use full lot, the return gonna be rclxm9.gif , but I didn't. Coz I know that its not gonna happen every month, I need to have good MM so that it can last long. smile.gif

I didn't laugh at your martingale system, you are too sensitive.

I laugh at your answer, which is really not pro la.
By the way, 1 year plus is short period, give it 5 years.

Haha, whatever it is, I am totally fine and good. I am really not pro answering question. I am not that sensitive and emo like the last "awesome" forumer that keep picking on lowya, with long beautiful answer. yawn.gif
Sure got the chance to see the 5 years result. smile.gif

I still seen somebody are looking for awesome poster. I don't post doesn't means I am already out of the games. Sometime, when I was in down period, I would prefer to clear my mindset and look for the solutions, find implementation on the strategy and regroup on it. If you can't accept losses, you CAN'T be a TRADER. Make sense, mchicken?

As advise, I have seen you have some awesome result too in ZULU. But you have already done 1 mistakes. No followers will follow those imbalance trading lot sizes. So it is hard to gain a lot of followers even though you have good results because most ppl know MARTINGALE doesn't works in forex for long term. Just kepoh, don't angry huh.

I see, thanks for your useful advice. It really clear my doubt now. thumbup.gif

If you trade blindly without good money and risk management, you gonna blown your account multiple times for nothing. If you really a risk taker and dont care to study the strategies, market, trend or whatsoever, why don't you try to look into some robots/EA. For example, scalp ea, hedge ea, martingale ea, etc etc. So you know what you are risking for, that will be more interesting.

Scalp ea can make you crazy and thrilling.
