Yes, you are right ..... for 1 standard lot, 1-pip = $10. Since yours is 1-pips = $1, meaning you are trading 1-mini lot.
In that case your capital for this demo account is unrealistic. I doubt you will ever get margin call ;-)

There is a saying .... "Treat your demo  account as if it is your live account".
*
Indeed, I have a US$ 5k opened somewhere last week and I trade in 0.25-1 lots all the time. So far earned US$400 rclxm9.gif

QUOTE(highlowyat @ Nov 17 2014, 03:41 PM)
that as easy as this: u pay Boston Technologies around 50k and after 3 months everything will be done by them. they will setup everything from A to Z
get MT license
get feed provider
get offshore office (NZD, Cyprus) register business and regulations. there u go.. BOOM! new bucket shop in town

get local office and server (but put offshore office in website) in Malaysia under IT license
considering 95% traders will fail, the guaranteed profits as good as UMNO/BN cronies business profits
*
Actually even if 95% traders succeed also gooding, since brokers earn mainly from spreads/commissions so either way also profit. Once system is set uped, just sit back and become money printing machine. drool.gif Brokers really have it good laugh.gif

money is limited . one person gain as much means the other will suffer a loss
so 95% success rate is totally impossible

Agreed, I'm just giving an extreme but impossible example to show my point nod.gif

With all due respect, roller-coasters aren't good for profit. At this rate you'll always be near break-even with this strategy, unless you have more up your sleeve? hmm.gif

this has been playing between -400 and +400 (swinging up and down)
when its red (0 to -400) .. u let it roll
when its positive (0 to +400) .. u catch it.. rinse and repeat

its too early to say not profit or profitable. i put it transparent here for us to see

Ok, this will be interesting. Thanks for sharing and good luck thumbup.gif

QUOTE(Musikl @ Nov 21 2014, 10:53 PM)
Hey all,
Just seeking for an advise. I'm a newbie. Interested to learn forex trading. Will start reading babypips soon. But the thing is. I work 9-6. Don't think I'll have time to watch the market everyday after work. Question is, should I let this forex company (with their own plan/strategy) do the trading for me (I get 70% of the profit), or should I just do it myself?
Thanks!
*
When it comes to high risk investment like forex, I only trust myself laugh.gif Though the forex company might have more experience trading than you, it's still better for you to learn to trade (with demo account first sweat.gif ) as you'll learn from your mistakes and over time you'll improve and become sustainable. You don't want the company to call you tomorrow and say : "Sorry all your monies burned liao" cry.gif And you can still trade even with 9-6 job by trading 6-8hours charts which only require you to look a few times a day

Just my 2 cents icon_rolleyes.gif

I'm looking into IC Markets as they claim that they're a "true ecn" and not a market maker/bucket shop in their website. Forexfactory reviews seems so good so far. Still I'm skeptical cause I heard real ecn providers requires their clients to trade in multiples of 0.1 lots in order to be accepted by their liquidity provider. Hmm... hmm.gif

However stronk the trend is, no SL is suicide ohmy.gif What if tomorrow market decides to move 360 degrees against you then you insta bankcrupt sad.gif And even if you're lucky this time, this will make you overconfident and until one day suddenly your account kena blown.

I think it is also fine with me as long as the higher timeframe direction is in tandem with your entry/exit timeframe.

Ok but in general it's not worth the risk, trading without SL will give you many sleepless nights sad.gif But in the end, each man to his own, good luck nod.gif
