so ha, to have a moto 360 means u need to have bluetooth on always on your phone? i never tried turning on bluetooth perpetually. does bluetooth consume battery at a faster rate? how many percent faster averagely?
*
Yes, BT need to be on full-time, but since BT 4.0 (Low Energy) is available, the % batt consumed is minimal, in fact, overall you save battery on the phone, because you don't have to open the phone for each notification you receive. You can read it on the watch, some apps allow reply via Voice (Android Wear feature), all without taking out the phone.

Indirectly, also save you battery because usually we humans get distracted easily, after checking/respond to the notification, we might open Facebook, Instagram etc. tongue.gif

You save battery because mostly phone battery is consumed by SOT (Screen On Time), so overall you save quite a lot of battery. smile.gif This is from my experience with the Pebble Smartwatch, but overall, smartwatch experiences are generally the same in this aspect. smile.gif

Can this watch be stand alone without phone.. not for the whole day..
*
Unfortunately, no. This watch, as with all other Android Wear devices, are companion devices. It has to be paired with a phone to utilize the features/apps.

If you want standalone, you can check out devices like the Omate Truesmart, Neptune Pine, and the upcoming Samsung Gear S.

p/s: Should have a few more other OEM standalones from China, but I don't have the full list.

Bro Stringfellow's comment on Battery Life: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=70455426

Basically all the other users also having the same comment. Need to fully drain the battery a few times only start to have better battery life.

Bathing no problem right.

I been so used to pebble. Wear it 24/7 and charged it only once every monday evening.

Only issue is probably the stock Horween leather strap, not recommended to contact water.

Good news for you guys, reports of battery life dramatically improved after the latest update. Some even get 2 days of battery life or more...with Ambient Mode off of course.

Hope Moto 360 after update can last as long as G Watch.
*
Not sure about this, but I think if both off the "Always-On" mode, G Watch should technically still last longer than the Moto 360.

Haha, tempted to let it go, but my SG friend will kill me since he brought it over from SG to me...hahaha.

I am still using the G Watch, would you guys advise me to change? I really want to, but just need some justification to make myself don't feel so guilty LOL.
