Yup, mine also shows 'running sync loop' after i update my phone to Lollipop. I thought it is one of the lollipop bug cause lollipop is still in beta for my phone. (LG G2)

I had this for a while after changing my ROM to Cyanogenmod, but then it dissapears by itself after a few days. Did not have any problems with notifications when the phone still displaying that message.

Used to happen on my Lollipop preview on Nexus 5, now with official Lollipop it's all good 
It's more of unofficial or unsupported Google Play service, coz my N5 Lollipop which have no issue with final Lollipop version, encountered 'running sync loop' again when I sideload beta/leaked version Google Play Service, and disappear after I done test and revert back.

"running sync loop" status when i installed google play services 6.5 from apkmirror...

uninstall the updates and then reset watch...it became normal again.

Have you tried restarting your phone? Or maybe re-installing Android Wear and see if it helps to solve the issue?

Haha I tumpang Bro Megat when I buy the Moto 360 from him. Basically I machined off some parts of the first link to make it thinner, so the band have more "room" to curve around the backplate.

Haha, nola, I engage a machining shop (precision steel/fabricator), to help me thin off the front section of the first link. Till now, when I wear the band, it doesn't contact the backplate. Previously before machining, the band hangs out and causes stress on the backplate, this is also why some users cracked their back of the watch using Pebble Steel band. Whereas on the official band, you don't have this issue.
