This website claims that they are able to get it by end of September, can this website be trusted? also at RM1100, wouldn't it be too expensive?
*
If not mistaken they able to place order, as their reply from FB. It's reliable, I bought from them before, and yes their price wasnt low anytime, but they often had difficult to get product ( like Google Glass, Google play edition device etc )

Moto 360 could be worst, luckily Motorola put design/looks as priority.

Prototype, squarish plastic.

Or thick bezel. I'm glad Motorola move the hardware to tiny black bar below display, instead of thick bezel.

Read a few more reviews on Moto 360. It seems Moto 360 does in fact not having good battery life, but few reliable review site ( phone arena, Gizmodo ) does stressed out that it wasnt as bad as you heard. It could last one full day with Ambient mode OFF, or close to one day with ambient mode ON.
According to them, Moto 360 had brightest display of all Android Wear currently, and thus with ambient mode ON, if your outdoor etc display will pump up to brightest and thus affect battery life. Also worth mentioned is that it had heart rate monitor on all the time.
PhoneArena did mentioned about performance that while it's not laggy, it's definitely behind G watch/Gear live.

Above are my conclusion after reading some of these review. I think I'm not happy with Motorola for having this old processor and small battery, because given their effort on phone for optimization and good battery life, if we had S400 and 400mAh in Moto 360 ( as per G watch ) then Moto 360 should be good for even 2 days.

That been said, it's still the best looking Android Wear ( or smartwatch after seeing Apple's dull design ), that's my only choice now.

My concern is the battery and price, at first i thought can get it below rm800....
*
The price is well expected for me, $250
Just that in US, delivery + tax ( at some state ) makes it become over RM900

if u turn off the ambient light u can use it for a full day just like a phone. if you worried very much about the battery life maybe pebble is more suitable for you. its hard to expect great battery life from devices now. smartphones has been at it for years and the best they can do is 2 days. and they have way more space to play with.
*
Apple 2015 smartwatch also claim for one day usage only, guess we need to wait 2015/2016 for perhaps next gen smartwatch, for now we're stuck with one day Android Wear or one week Pebble tongue.gif

Problem with Moto 360 is that you can't simply use your powerbank to charge it or pinjam someone's USB cable because it can only be charged wirelessly. You need to bring that dongle thingy if you don't want to stuck with a nice bangle.
*
Erm, so does G Watch, Gear Live, Pebble, Pebble Steel ( not compatible among pebble and steel ), kreyos etc all use their own charging cradle or proprietary charger. Moto 360 is slightly better with support to Qi wireless charging technology.

Hmm, really tough choice.

LG G Watch - RM600 (directd), but looks geeky, good battery life
Moto 360 - RM800 (might be more), looks very cool, multiple review of bad battery life...

I think the battery life sort of depends on each individual, if we constantly flick our wrists, then the battery will be gone faster since the screen keep turning on. If only we have 30 days return period....
*
Battery life not as good as other, because Moto 360 had brightest display and old processor. From many reviews, concluded that if ambient mode was OFF, it's good for one whole day.

Just wondering.. where to get screen protector for moto360? I know its gorilla glass 3 but its is for sure not scratch proof as I have Pebble Steel which have gorilla glass 3 as well and it does scratch sad.gif

Motorola actually does sell it themselves, or can wait GadgetWrap/SlickWrap/dbrand etc

so ha, to have a moto 360 means u need to have bluetooth on always on your phone? i never tried turning on bluetooth perpetually. does bluetooth consume battery at a faster rate? how many percent faster averagely?
*
Latest Bluetooth version consume low enough battery, that most likely you wont notice any battery drain. This is me compare old Bluetooth V2 against V4

QUOTE(zhou86 @ Sep 17 2014, 05:09 PM)
Yes, BT need to be on full-time, but since BT 4.0 (Low Energy) is available, the % batt consumed is minimal, in fact, overall you save battery on the phone, because you don't have to open the phone for each notification you receive. You can read it on the watch, some apps allow reply via Voice (Android Wear feature), all without taking out the phone.

Indirectly, also save you battery because usually we humans get distracted easily, after checking/respond to the notification, we might open Facebook, Instagram etc. tongue.gif

You save battery because mostly phone battery is consumed by SOT (Screen On Time), so overall you save quite a lot of battery. smile.gif This is from my experience with the Pebble Smartwatch, but overall, smartwatch experiences are generally the same in this aspect. smile.gif

*
AP set ? Not quite possible, $250 + shipping and tax in US ~$50 + shipping cost back to Malaysia, RM1k already. Had to wait for other countries selling only price may drop below 1k. I think either wait Malaysia ( matter of time ) or Singapore.

I wish the crown has exact similar function like Apple watch where you can scroll down and up by rolling the crown around and select desire button on screen by just pressing the similar crown.
*
Not one bit I want this, crown is damn tiny, scrolling will not be good experience.

Genuine leather always does not recommended to contact water.
