QUOTE(Someonesim @ Oct 9 2014, 10:02 AM)
Ambient Mode is a MUST. It allow you to glance at it to check time.
I noticed it will turn display off when it faced outward, away from your head/face ( normally you wont saw this ). When you turn it upward, it shows in Ambient Mode with B/W minimalist watch face. When you turn it inward ( facing your head/face ), it turn on with full color watch face. It's responsive and always working, unlike my pebble ( although display was always on ) need to twist/shake/dance it to light up backlight during night. I wonder how it works with people wearing it on right hand.
*
Oh wow.. I didn't know that - I'm right hand wearing also and its working well like you said. My batt from 6AM - 10AM is now at 67%. Now I try Ambient Mode on and see how it goes.

The way the ambient mode goes from color to B&W is just WIN.

from 5:40am till 4:40 PM left 18% with 2-3 hours of ambient mode on. not bad for first cycle...charging rate is about 1.5 - 2% per min using the default charger.

watch now back to the charging dock, 3% left as per 8.25p.m, ambient mode turned on since 2.00p.m with around 60% battery left when i turned on, overall usage for today was around 13.5 hours, still need more juice for me to reach out the whole night, will try turning off ambient mode tomorrow whole day to see if it will get through it.
*
They said it will take at least a week for the battery to settle down before we see real usage. Hope that is the case if the reports on the latest firmware KGW42R that brings improved battery life is true.

Btw, same as android phone - if you tab multiple times on the Build Number you can get access to the developer options hehe.

To those moto360 owners do you guys have the back lip imprint on your leather band?

See:
user posted image

Kinda worried cause of all the crack back I heard,
QUOTE
It's the stress of the lip when the band presses up against it. The straps can move a full 90+ degress when attached, however the lip that sticks out restricts that range of motion to something like 45 degrees. So when the strap moves around it pushes against the lip, and puts stress on the weakest points - which happens to be the corners. I've noticed this happening to my watch because my strap on one side started to take the impression of the lip because it was constantly pressing up against it, while the other side did not have the impression. The side that had the impression started developing a crack on the corners, while the other side is still crack-free.

Btw, I have a fairly small wrist and wear it below my wrist bone. I normally wear it on 4/5th notch.
