interesting design

but I'm not sure at this point in time, ppl would want to get a USD 249 device just to check notifications and get maybe some health data biggrin.gif

will be keeping an eye to see how it grows and matures

It's good to be skeptical. Me myself have been thinking about it too. Until I got myself Pebbles. The best watch ever.

I remember the days before iPad. Everyone skeptical about it. "Oversize iPhone? Who want that?"

I agree. The main problems with phones are they are to cumbersome to access for very frequent stuff like notifications. Unlike old days u get sms every hour, now u get messages like 10 to 20 every hour. And some of them are not even urgent but u wouldn't know unless u read them. It is snugly in your pocket. But to access it just for simple things like notifications is an overkill. We need something simpler. There is definitely a market for smart watch natter how expensive it may be.

Moto 360: Why a Watch?

It’s practical. It’s stylish. It’s as old as time.

From sundials to wrist watches, time was meant to be told round. And that’s what inspired us when it came to creating Moto 360, a classic timepiece powered by Android Wear coming later this summer.

Hear more about the inspiration behind Moto 360 from Lior Ron, product lead for the watch.

i was wondering why is there a space at the bottom of the watch? like unused black space?

why can't they put like a wallpaper there instead of leaving it black? AMOLED / LCD limitation?

It is where the screen driver lies.
