QUOTE(nickygin @ Jul 8 2014, 04:37 PM) This is the first issue of the magazine, just released end of last month. No, it is not purchased in Malaysia. I ordered directly from the publisher. Magazine cost £5.99 but with shipping is much more than that... QUOTE(elementz @ Jul 8 2014, 05:14 PM) Yes I do, I can only read one copy right? |

QUOTE(mchw08 @ Jul 9 2014, 04:43 PM) waiting in line for?? i nvr did find yur fb sales page.. Unfortunately no receipt was given... scan or photostat also can.. not that they can check every single tax payer for identical receipt... just keep a copy in hand in case there a need to.. Didn't think of that when I ordered mine, thanks for the tip! QUOTE(tiensheng @ Jul 9 2014, 05:15 PM) CODE buy like 3 - 5 pieces , share the shipping should be cheaper than buying 1 lor :P u guys around kl / pj area? anyway , the current issue , 10 copies or 5 copies , price is the same ~ haha so can do self buying Paying via PayPal also escalated the prices by quite a bit because you know la, PayPal's forex conversion rate isn't the cheapest on the planet... However, I didn't inquire for 10 copies... You buying taikun style. |

QUOTE(mchw08 @ Jul 9 2014, 06:33 PM) If you are referring to the first issue then someone has to organise a mini group purchase. Looking at the rates now it is cheaper buying now then when I paid for mine... QUOTE(tiensheng @ Jul 9 2014, 07:06 PM) Aiks! Was hoping someone can organise, I want to tumpang. Anyway, here is some updates fresh from the horses mouth. Next issue is most probably expected in October this year and they hope to make it a monthly thingy. So it is not firm yet if this is going to be a monthly release or not, they are probably gathering consumer feedback at the moment.... |

QUOTE(steveysl @ Jul 10 2014, 04:26 PM) Mind sharing the link to this PO? I think at RM215 it is still reasonable, will be difficult for us to get it below RM200... Also due to the single production run hype, the biggest question mark is on whether we can get a set or two for ourselves rather than where to get it cheap... Surely fans from all over the world will be at ready to place their orders come 1st August and wipe out the stocks in a matter of minutes.. Those who has access to Lego S@H will stand a good chance to get their hands on some... QUOTE(tiensheng @ Jul 10 2014, 07:32 PM) I think people more excited with Exo Suit right now than MINI Cooper since MINI will still be available for a few years... haha! QUOTE(mchw08 @ Jul 11 2014, 10:22 AM) i saw amazon got sub at usd30 per 4 issue.. with free shipping.. dunno free shipping is for US or int.. Oh, thanks for the update. If the publisher offers annual subscriptions for overseas fans then it is great news for us. |

QUOTE(yhlee12 @ Jul 11 2014, 01:52 PM) with regards to concern on availability.. Yeah, hopefully that's TLG assuring the world that there will be enough stock for everyone, not only just for EU and USA... » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « still hopeful all of us can secure one or two for ourselves... QUOTE(kelvinlym @ Jul 11 2014, 02:20 PM) Depending on the box measurements, I might be able to help LYN Lego fans to secure the Exo Suit for less than RM200, if I can fit at least 5 in a box. With that quantity will kena 10% tax from Kastam Malaysia. So have to add RM95 (10%) + DHL handling fees.If can, I can ship it in a DHL package for EUR 45 (insured) and someone in Msia must coordinate the logistics to get the sets to the buyers. I don't intend to make any money off this, as I will buy it at retail from S@H Germany for EUR35. So 35x5+45=EUR220 which is about RM950, therefore less than RM200 per set. However, it all depends on what kind of limits Lego will have per person and what the box measurements are, for me to fit in a standard DHL international delivery box. Also if we are to transfer money to you via PayPal then the forex rate is also higher so realistically it still doesn't work out to be below RM200... Pls don't get me wrong, I'm not pouring cold water over your kind gesture. In fact I fully appreciate you offer us a chance to grab this set. But that is the scenario we will face, just helping to fine tune your figures. Shipping is a big part of the cost computation, not so much the 10% tax... |

QUOTE(kelvinlym @ Jul 11 2014, 04:22 PM) True, I forgot about customs. Well, too bad. I also won't be flying home anytime soon after July, so I can't be Santa Claus again. That's great! PayPal's hidden fees are a real pain so that will help a lot. Regarding the forex, my wife still has her bank account in Msia, so that's not an issue. I'll be in London/Paris mid-August so hopefully I could walk into a Lego shop and walk out with a few sets for myself... Will pm you if I decide to take up your offer to bulk buy Exo Suit as insurance policy in case I don't get any during my vacation... Many thanks in advance! Btw, any deadline for this offer? QUOTE(mchw08 @ Jul 11 2014, 04:28 PM) Hi guys... i just got a replied from the Supplier for BLOCKS magazine. Nice! Here's a chance for anyone who missed out to order their magazine! The publisher works very fast, here's their reply to me in the quote below:
"The blocks issue out at the moment is the pilot issue, and the first issue for the subscription will be the October issue." So current issue is the "pilot" issue. October issue will be "Issue No.1" |

QUOTE(zemperor @ Jul 11 2014, 08:28 PM) but the price really i plan to join this also if available and almost can't hold my finger but should i wait a bit longer... When I first received the price list I was hopeful that 42030 will be around RM100 more than 42009 but the bigger box changed all that... If you can tahan then can try your luck when it becomes available through the local retailers... I think their stocks come in via sea freight which is much cheaper than air freight. QUOTE(faish888 @ Jul 11 2014, 08:32 PM) Hee Hee. Just in case any old uncle and aunty here cannot read the small prints. QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Jul 17 2014, 01:47 PM) You didn't get that Batman credit card ah? I remember there was an event at Pavilion and a local bank was offering Batman credit cards... QUOTE(maxilife1 @ Jul 17 2014, 01:57 PM) SW universe has such a wide selection of sets, not everyone can afford to collect everything... What gets on my nerves is they keep rehashing old sets. Good for peeps who join the bandwagon late but for collectors we are in a dilemma whether to buy the newer set even though we already have the older version... QUOTE(Hades76 @ Jul 17 2014, 02:02 PM) Totally agree with you. Too many so I am focusing on the original Episodes 4,5 and 6. Nothing like the classics....timeless.... Yeeaaahhh I also just collect the classic SW sets only if not credit card already in a black hole long ago in a galaxy far far away.... QUOTE(ilfort @ Jul 17 2014, 03:20 PM) i use cash shj. Lol. Amazon uses iParcel for shipping to Malaysia which is then handled by Pos Malaysia. With this arrangement the orders are always not on time. Btw, Amazon took quite a long time to reach me. is like 13 days later of the expected ship date. . . QUOTE(nickygin @ Jul 17 2014, 09:43 PM) Was playing with this set just now... I'm still amaze with it even after a few months

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Jul 18 2014, 08:12 AM) It looks like LEGO trolling us for months already. This Batman is such a showoff! ![]() Source: http://www.thebrickfan.com/more-lego-san-d...-sets-revealed/ Lucky I'm not a Classic Batman fan. And I guess that Black Tumbler is either the mini Tumbler polybag or ... the UCS version! QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Jul 18 2014, 08:25 AM) Tragic indeed... Sigh... Our thoughts and prayers goes to the families who lost their loved ones... RIP.QUOTE(kelvinlym @ Jul 18 2014, 02:10 PM) Yeah, and it started flight on July 1997, and now exactly 17 years in service. They are now avoiding that airspace after this tragedy. I'm terribly shocked and speechless. |
