QUOTE(steveysl @ Jul 10 2014, 04:26 PM)
well there is already a PO for Exo Suit in FB. but the price is like Rm215.
*
Mind sharing the link to this PO? I think at RM215 it is still reasonable, will be difficult for us to get it below RM200... hmm.gif

Also due to the single production run hype, the biggest question mark is on whether we can get a set or two for ourselves rather than where to get it cheap... Surely fans from all over the world will be at ready to place their orders come 1st August and wipe out the stocks in a matter of minutes.. Those who has access to Lego S@H will stand a good chance to get their hands on some...

no one seeking for mini cooper ka ?

I think people more excited with Exo Suit right now than MINI Cooper since MINI will still be available for a few years... haha! laugh.gif

i saw amazon got sub at usd30 per 4 issue.. with free shipping.. dunno free shipping is for US or int..

Oh, thanks for the update. If the publisher offers annual subscriptions for overseas fans then it is great news for us. rclxms.gif

Depending on the box measurements, I might be able to help LYN Lego fans to secure the Exo Suit for less than RM200, if I can fit at least 5 in a box.

If can, I can ship it in a DHL package for EUR 45 (insured) and someone in Msia must coordinate the logistics to get the sets to the buyers.

I don't intend to make any money off this, as I will buy it at retail from S@H Germany for EUR35. So 35x5+45=EUR220 which is about RM950, therefore less than RM200 per set.

However, it all depends on what kind of limits Lego will have per person and what the box measurements are, for me to fit in a standard DHL international delivery box.

Yeah, hopefully that's TLG assuring the world that there will be enough stock for everyone, not only just for EU and USA... rclxms.gif

With that quantity will kena 10% tax from Kastam Malaysia. So have to add RM95 (10%) + DHL handling fees.

Also if we are to transfer money to you via PayPal then the forex rate is also higher so realistically it still doesn't work out to be below RM200...

Pls don't get me wrong, I'm not pouring cold water over your kind gesture. In fact I fully appreciate you offer us a chance to grab this set. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

But that is the scenario we will face, just helping to fine tune your figures. icon_rolleyes.gif

Shipping is a big part of the cost computation, not so much the 10% tax... sad.gif

True, I forgot about customs. Well, too bad. I also won't be flying home anytime soon after July, so I can't be Santa Claus again.

Regarding the forex, my wife still has her bank account in Msia, so that's not an issue.

That's great! PayPal's hidden fees are a real pain so that will help a lot. thumbup.gif

I'll be in London/Paris mid-August so hopefully I could walk into a Lego shop and walk out with a few sets for myself... tongue.gif

Will pm you if I decide to take up your offer to bulk buy Exo Suit as insurance policy in case I don't get any during my vacation... Many thanks in advance! notworthy.gif

Btw, any deadline for this offer? icon_rolleyes.gif

Please do note that this subscription is for the next issue in October. The current 1st issue if you want it you will still have to join the above PO to get yourself a copy. icon_rolleyes.gif (or order directly yourself)

There won't be a deadline per se. It all depends on availability at S@H. If Lego limits to 1 per person, then I can't help it. Also, if at least 5 boxes can't fit in a standard DHL delivery box, then the postage price would be too high and it's better to go with the other PO mentioned in the thread before. Also, customs fees have to be borne by you, so do make your own risk assessment.

I will be getting at least 1 set for myself, most likely Day 1 purchase. Will be back in KL from 21.7 to 1.8 for holidays and cuti raya. Luggage already bulging with toys.

To avoid derailing the thread, PM me.

No prob! Actually I'm just assuming that the current issue we are having is really "Issue 0" and that come October the 1st Issue is different from what we are having now. tongue.gif So I have written to them again to clarify and will report when I hear from them. They respond very quickly so hopefully they will reply before I leave the office, if not I can only update again tomorrow from the office. House internet very slow so I don't go online from home lately...

Here's more information for the benefit of everyone who is interested with BLOCKS magazine:

Webpage: BLOCKS

Subscription page: BLOCKS Subscription

And here are some screen shots to add more poison: cool2.gif

The publisher works very fast, here's their reply to me in the quote below:

"The blocks issue out at the moment is the pilot issue, and the first issue for the subscription will be the October issue."

So current issue is the "pilot" issue. October issue will be "Issue No.1" thumbup.gif
