QUOTE(littleprawn @ Jul 21 2014, 11:18 PM) i open the bags n pour the bricks on the container cover~ That is pretty severe damage, the box must have been thrown around quite badly before this... How was the box condition when you bought it? Am curious to know if MISB can still happen or not... they must have "play" the bricks while i'm away~ when returned from work found their "masterpiece"~Â yes, gonna ask for replacement~ the green frame bottom crack dy, cant brick on other bricks dy sad~Â This post has been edited by Lego_Jason: Jul 21 2014, 11:33 PM |

QUOTE(littleprawn @ Jul 21 2014, 11:30 PM) its from a MISB~ box condition 95% good, still seal on both side~ Ouch! That's what I feared! MISB... the only thing when i open the box, one of the bags got hole dy~ cant believe this can happen~ I kena before the polybag punctured and the bricks came out but lucky for me nothing missing and all parts were in mint condition. In fact, that happened to my first ever Modular Building purchase - Fire Brigade. Think it happened to either my Green Grocer or Town Hall too... Hopefully it is a thing of the past because Lego has shrunk the size of the boxes so the contents don't have so much room to move around in the box anymore... SW fans who may be interested in some discontinued sets pls spoiler below, my collector friend quitting Lego: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(littleprawn @ Jul 21 2014, 11:47 PM) very unlucky indeed~ 1st time kena~ I think too much room for them to move and especially when you tilt and turn the box you can feel the contents move from one end to another in quite a violent way! haha! So even MISB if whoever handles it keep turning it this way and that to admire the box art will cause damage inside. I find the bursting polybag problem quite common in boxes that size, like I said the newer sets from 2013 onwards should be ok because Lego has shrunk the sizes of the box. hopefully my other sets don give me nightmare~ u also kena few times~ so suey~ maybe the bag quality not good tear ownself haha~ QUOTE(scpt @ Jul 22 2014, 07:26 AM) Wah! Very healthy dose of morning poison! QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Jul 22 2014, 09:34 AM) Agree! QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Jul 22 2014, 09:40 AM) Why is he quitting? Now LEGO in Malaysia seems to be taking off ... He's quitting because have new hobby already... He had lots of SW sets but have been slowly selling them off, now left with this few... They will be going to BBT if no takers.I also kena. Beautiful Vampyre bride face got scar, maybe catfight I watched a documentary sometime back - the production of the 7498 Police Station. Interesting. Everything from the 1st phase of designing the set and even the little German Shepard to the final step of filling up the numbered bags and packing of the sets at factory. And the amount of plastic used stored in the silos. Wow. I think the reason there's extra parts is because each bag is measured by weight and filled up by machine. It was an eye opening documentary. |

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Jul 24 2014, 04:26 PM) Yeah. But seems restock slow and people talk about Parisian Restaurant more. Seems like not much PC for sale also. People always more excited with what's just released so it's normal... Also in general our local retailers do not carry much stock for Modular Buildings, just puzzles me when there is so much demand for them... |

QUOTE(Ebilgen @ Jul 24 2014, 08:11 PM) Hi all, my first post to say hi to all the Lego enthusiasts out there. Hi and a big welcome to you! Just recently got out of my dark ages, mostly because of the lovely modular buildings. Have been working on getting my hands on all the modulars but still missing the first 3. Agree with the previous comments - been quite a challenge to catch up coz they’re really hard to find. Any advice for ways to populate my modular street? Currently thinking of picking the Lego movie vehicles – already have the ice cream machine but the garbage truck and plumber van look interesting. Somehow, they seem more appealing and realistic vs all the very emergency-themed city vehicles. I too was drawn out of my dark ages because of Modular Buildings. Unless you are prepared to spend loads of $$$ I suggest you give the discontinued ones a miss, they are not hard to find, just hard to accept the asking prices. 10211 Grand Emporium is heading for retirement end of this year so I suggest that to be at the top of your shopping list if you don't already have it. QUOTE(paanjang16 @ Jul 24 2014, 10:11 PM) What a day today. Here's what happened:- Wow! Congrats bro!! 1) Was on the way to MV at KL Sentral waiting for the Komuter to arrive. Since nothing to do decided to check LOM, Lowyat etc 2) Saw a post in Lowyat that the Volvo has arrived in Curve. Nearly pengsan when I heard about it 3) During lunch at MV decided to call BVII to see if it has arrive in BVII as well. Was happy to hear that it has arrived! So ask the person on the other end to reserve 1 for me. I didn't call Curve coz I didn't have their number. 4) After work went all the way back to Kelana Jaya (my car is parked there, usually take LRT to work) to collect my car then drove all the way to BVII. 5) I dunno why but tonight Bangsar was congested!!! Cannot even enter BVII basement coz it is full. 6) Then somehow managed to find a parking spot along the shops. 7) Terus masuk BVII to collect my Volvo then balik after that Needless to say, I'm very surprised it came this early. Last year the MK2 arrived in August. In fact I got my MK2 in late July/very early August last year and that is through a FB seller. This time Lego themselves ship the Volvo early. Now regarding the box, it is HUGE. As you can see when I compared it to the box of the MK2. The difference almost equal to 1 Emmet. BTW, the red technic truck and bulldozer is also there. The red Technic truck is RM399.99 and the bulldozer RM 199.90. The Volvo cost RM 1049.90. Looks like Raya arrived early for me this year again! ![]() ![]() ![]() To Lego_Jason, hope you dun mind since I already gotten my Volvo already. The desire to have the Volvo was too great. I'm still thinking if to get another 1 or not. Thank you for your tip-off bro. Welcome to Lego! Ya, the movie themed vehicles seem better proportioned to the modular buildings than some City vehicles. Also some city sets like Police and Fire tend to repeat year after year. No worries at all, I'm super excited and very envious of you having that set already!! So I take your name off the list ok? Thanks for sharing the photos on the box dimension, that confirms the shipping assumptions I have made earlier. QUOTE(vey99 @ Jul 25 2014, 02:02 PM) I think its all sold very quickly, or the retailer is holding on and waiting for price increase to let go I simply do not understand their business model... Thanks for sharing, very hard to keep up with CMF releases... So many now. But TLG got my money again... QUOTE(kelvinlym @ Jul 26 2014, 09:55 PM) I was at Taipei taking part in the Magic GP. In between matches I visited Brickworks. Took a photo of their Millennium Falcon in that small crowded shop. Wah! Look at all those yummy stormies! [attachmentid=4069747] [attachmentid=4069748] Prices there were 10-20% more than retail prices in Germany. QUOTE(paanjang16 @ Jul 27 2014, 01:47 AM) Some photos I took of my Volvo wheel loader. Took me about 6 hours to build it. Thanks for sharing bro! Non-numbered bags is going to make it even more fun! Before building, have to organize all the parts for easier assembly. Quite alot of parts since it is a flagship model and no numbered bags. MK2 is easier since got numbered bags. ![]() The completed Volvo with Emmet and Lord Business posing next to it for scale. It is quite large, but still.... ![]() .. the Mercedes Unimogs is taller. Length wise almost the same. Both are using the same tires FYI. ![]() ![]() But when compared to anything other than Technic flagship, it is a MONSTER! Hulk is pissed that there is something bigger and stronger than him. ![]() QUOTE(matsheikh @ Jul 27 2014, 05:52 AM) Hmm... My premium annual pass only give me 10% discount. QUOTE(ilfort @ Jul 27 2014, 04:44 PM) RM100 each so 4 x 100 = RM400. QUOTE(joker98 @ Jul 28 2014, 09:31 AM) Hi guys, Hi and a big welcome! I am new here on this part of the forums. Recently got really pulled into Lego frenzy after visiting Legoland in London with my kids during a holiday. I am a huge Star Wars fan and the Super Star Destroyer and X-Wing models blew me away. There was no turning back after seeing those. And when I came back to the shops in Malaysia, seeing the B-Wing on display sealed the deal for me. I am in the construction line and so the Technic series are also making me very interested, especially seeing some of the Volvo photos above. Just wanted to say hi to all the members here and hope to learn and share more in future. Selamat Hari Raya and Happy Holidays to all! Yes, you are very right about no turning back! hahaha! Enjoy and hope to see some photos from you. My friend found more vintage sets while clearing his room... Apologies for the blurry photos, he took with his phone and Whatsapp to me... |

QUOTE(yhlee12 @ Aug 2 2014, 12:11 AM) Have been monitoring the exo suit availability on S@H whole day, from available to shipping on 15th Aug to now shipping in 30 days.. I doubt we are going to see many showing up in Malaysia with decent prices.. Sighs. Yeah, looks like not going to be easy for Malaysians to get hold of it if it is very limited production run... |
