I would say the chance of MY being tier 1 is near 0%.

if you notice all the country being in tier 1 group except SG do have apple retail store. so, apple probably will set up retail store in SG in the near future.

currently the whole of Asia only JP, China, HK and AU have apple retail store and they all belong to tier 1 group when new product are being launch.
