Sama-sama Muslimah. Every time religious extremists rear their ugly heads, the vast majority of Muslims just keep silent. Even if they're moderates. Takut nanti dipanggil murtad.

who said we're keeping silent? mad.gif

Plenty of peace-loving muslims are prosecuted, marginalised and even assassinated just because they advised their brethren to oppose violence, yet alot of fktards here keep accusing moderates of not doing anything.

its not like you people are doing anything positive anyway, you think its funny standing in the sidelines pouring fuel into the fire to satisfy your own entertainment but when the shit hits the fan, these fanatics will come out for all our heads, including you and me.

Us vs them mentality. If you are not like one of us then you are one of them, simple, black & white rather than lots of grey areas in reality.

Reading about Malaysians joining the ISIL is already bad enough amid simmering tensions in Malaysia gaining traction and with irresponsible parties fanning small fires here and there either deliberately or non-deliberately which is only turning up the gas on a slow burning pressure cooker. Its easy to start fires but harder to put them out.

Seriously, we should start getting together to guide fellow Malaysians away from the path of destruction and terrorism through education. Because, you know, its not that hard for zealots and fanatics to get turned-on at the slightest hint of what they perceive as 'provocation'.

but the pm admires their "bravery"..lel.. where was the provocation for this? as for the zealots and fanatics..since they are essentially your problem you can't just point at the commentators from the side-lines because they are reacting to the fanatics and the hypocrisy...
*
not blaming anyone, just saying we should all work together instead of pointing fingers. Coz you know la these people are always looking for any reason for a free ticket to heaven. You greatly overestimate their patience

Yeah, its not your problem until they start a 'holy war' here and by that time its prolly too late. sad.gif

At least nobody important among you are saying anything. Even jibby thinks ISIL is to be admired.

So we have to wait for someone important to say something then only you're satisfied? So its true when they say, Asians worship everything their leaders say , anything that comes out of the mouth of a figurehead becomes gospel and represents everyone else.

Yeah. How else do we non-Muslims know that they're not secretly recruiting for ISIL in mosques during Friday prayers?

follow the cookie crumbs

moderates need to not hang around the parking lot doing bbq and wtf and get inside the stadium..
*
get into the stadium, wat..world cup hangover?lol

Ok seriously, we've tried organizing dialogue and discussions with these people, and its like talking to a wall. And once they curling themselves into a ball and start labelling you as 'liberal muslim' or 'muslims only in name' or 'kafir' that's the end of discussion.

Every time theres dissent or difference in opinion among Muslims, they're completely censored and only the approved version is allowed while anything different is outlawed - you see that happening even in /k.

Yeah, and it leads straight to the mosque, where we are not allowed to enter, so we can't continue following the crumbs (if there are any).

Mosques and religious authorities have always been controlled by the government.Whoever disagrees or have views that challenge the establishment will get taken down, the establishment determines what can be expressed and what cannot be delivered in such places.

Although this was quite some time ago, we had an outspoken imam who was delivering a sermon about corruption during Friday prayers but by the time he finished, the SB was already waiting for him. And what were you expecting man?

So..., know this, you still willingly go to the mosque? Knowing that the message preached there is not what the religion really is, but one "approved" by the government?

And my expectation is as follows:
1. That the religion of peace will have no problems with other people coming in to investigate.
2. That the religion of peace will have no fear and be transparent.
3. That the religion of peace is not being used to spread racist rhetoric.
4. That the religion of peace is not proclaimed as the religion of terrorists and psychopaths.

We have no choice, we can't just shut ourselves out and give up on the greater Muslim community by give a free-hand to the establishment to control them. There's gotta be some people within the social fabric that help tilt the balance . The die-hards may wholly reject but theres a chance for those that are in-betweeners.

Come-on, you're not born yesterday, its more frustrating for us as everything is controlled by the government, at least other faiths have more freedom in attending to their folk until recently when bloody right wingers begin knocking on their doors.
