I still like Wrangler more, still maintain that classic design of a Jeep that we all know about since the earlier days of WW2, where the US Army use it extensively on their war campaign.

Jeep to enter India market in 2015

Malaysian get it first, one of the rare occasion that we get a Brand/model first before India

USUALLY Indian get them first before Malaysian do,
e,g VW Polo Sedan,
Ford EcoSport (in fact we still have'nt see it yet despite all the car show appearance here),
Renault Fluence, (their already face lift) we just got it last month

Jeep Tops List of Most Patriotic Brands in U.S.

By NATHALIE TADENA

Consumers consider Jeep to be the most patriotic brand in the U.S., followed by Levi Strauss and Coca-Cola , according to a new report from brand loyalty and consumer engagement research firm Brand Keys Inc.

As part of a larger survey, Brand Keys polled 4,680 consumers between the ages of 16 and 65 to evaluate 35 values including “patriotism.” The brands deemed the most patriotic largely stayed the same as those in Brand Keys’ survey last year, with slight changes in the rankings.

Chrysler-owned Jeep also held the No. 1 spot for patriotism in 2013. In last year’s survey, Coca-Cola tied with Hershey’s for the No. 2 ranking, while Levi Strauss tied with Disney for the third most patriotic brand. Notable additions to Brand Keys’ list of most patriotic brands this year include technology giants Apple , Amazon and Google , which weren’t among the top 50 most patriotic brands in last year’s survey.

According to the survey, here are the brands — including ties — that are perceived to be the most patriotic in the U.S. for 2014:
1. Jeep
2. Levi Strauss
3. Coca-Cola
4. Colgate/Disney/Wrigley’s/Zippo
5. Ford /Harley Davidson/ Ralph Lauren
6. Apple / Gillette
7. Hershey’s / Wal-mart
8. Amazon
9. New Balance
10. AT&T / Google

Ford sales fall, GM barely even; Jeep powers Chrysler reported by USATODAY

Chrysler showing a bigger-than-forecast 9.2% gain, Ford showing a shallower-than-forecast 5.8% dip and General Motors overcoming more recalls to eke out a 1% gain instead of a predicted drop in sales vs. last June.

SUV,s normally a Ford strong point, were down 8.4%. Only gainer in the bunch was the Explorer, and they just barely – up 0.4%.

Jeep's new-to-the-lineup Cherokee compact SUV, on sale since last October, was the star, adding some 13,000 sales to the monthly count, far outweighing modest increases or decreases among other Jeep models.

Jeep, Subaru, Rolls-Royce are auto sales winners: Mini, Volkswagen down
by JERRY HIRSCH

Jeep, Subaru and Rolls-Royce were among the fastest-growing car brands through the first half of this year while Chrysler, Mini and Volkswagen were struggling.

Automakers have sold 8.2 million vehicles so far this year, a 4% gain over the same period a year ago.

Jeep is leading the charge.

Helped by new models, sales for the sport-utility vehicle brand have soared 45%. It sold 332,802 vehicles during the first half of the year, pushing it past Chrysler and Dodge, the other Chrysler Group-owned brands. Jeep has captured 4.1% of the U.S. auto market, up from 2.9% in the same period a year earlier, according to Autodata Corp.

Meanwhile, the Chrysler line is faltering. Sales are down 14%.

Subaru also is on fire. It sales rose more than 16% to 238,008 vehicles. With 2.9% of the U.S. auto market, it is now bigger than GMC, Volkswagen and Mazda and has Kia in its sights.

Volkswagen, hurt by older models and the lack of a hot-selling crossover, is going in the opposite direction. Sales are off 13%. The British Mini also is having a bad year. Sales are off 25%.

The big surprise this year is Rolls-Royce, the British luxury brand owned by BMW. Sales have jumped 204% to 404 cars. Although the numbers are small, the dollars are big. Depending on the model and options, a Rolls starts around $300,000 and climbs to more than $400,000.

Italian brand Maserati also is making a move in the U.S. Thanks to its new Ghibli sedan, sales are up 329% to 5,441.

When it comes to electric cars, Chevrolet’s Volt isn’t charging ahead. Sales of the plug-in hybrid have fallen nearly 13% from the first half of 2013 to 8,615 vehicles. Tesla sales have grown about 2% to 9,100. The Nissan Leaf is the clear winner in this segment. Sales have jumped 29% to 12,736.

Ford’s F-series truck remains the best selling vehicle in America, a perch it has held for decades. Although its sales are down not quite 1%, it still leads the second place Chevrolet Silverado 365,825 to 240,679. The Ram truck is gaining ground on both. It sold almost 204,000 trucks this year, a 20% increase.

The Toyota Camry was the bestselling passenger car through the first half of the year and has a wide lead on second place Honda Accord.

Even they bring in wrangler also no use

They are going over charge it at least in the 300k mark

Thailand made cars already charge over 120-150% not to mention imports
