I'm a 17 years old girl and my height is 157cm and sometimes 156cm because measuring my height at school is not accurate. I got shocked when my height decreases but that was just some dumb inaccurate reading. Is there a way to naturally get taller? Some people say that when you reached 15 or 16 years old, you're done growing up. I don't believe it as my height still slightly increases as I age after 16. I really, really want to get taller!

You are taller if you measure yourself just after waking up from sleep, as during the day your spine compresses a little, causing that small decrease in height.
Girls generally stop growing at age 14-16, although there might be exceptions. Nutrition, rest, posture can affect your height. Some say playing sports like basketball may help, though that may just be 'broscience'. Don't forget genetics play a part as well. That being said, coming from a male point of view your height isn't anything to be sad about. I know plenty of girls around your height range and proportionally they look fine. |

Yeah. But there are some fools like to talk behind my back about my height and I find that irritating.Girls generally stop growing at age 14-16, although there might be exceptions. QUOTE(hazertazer @ Jun 24 2014, 08:01 PM) Actually, I'm now 158cm when I measured back because of school's stupid measuring way! The height I desired is at least 162cm. Maybe thats impossible for me? 4cm is quite achievable since you only 17.well.. im not expert in growing height, but you might wanna try to eat some calcium dense, bone strengthening food , such as broccoli, spinach , maybe milk? and get sufficient vitamin D by expose to sunlight at least 30 min a week. obviously, jumping exercise is going to help you growing in height more faster, but i highly recommend you try to do yoga, stretching is good for your overall body. so, eat good, exercise well, and sleep well, and then just let the body do the work. i wish you all the best |

QUOTE(hazertazer @ Jun 24 2014, 08:04 PM) Yeah. But there are some fools like to talk behind my back about my height and I find that irritating. Then let them talk, learn to ignore them. Like Dr Seuss said "Be who you are...... because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." Some people backtalk because in some way, they feel inferior to you. Take that in a positive way. |

There are rumors that one can grow little taller if they do stretch exercise regularly? If you stay slim, your height would be ok. PPle tend to say all kind of things whether tall or thin etc. |

I don't think you can; women stop growing at age 15 or around that age...unless there's a miracle product? Or, go for a surgery, where they insert something on the knee: http://growtallerreport.com/new-leg-length...ery-procedures/
Safer method would be, wear high heels.....but wearing high heels would do no good in the long run.... Actually....why bother about people that talk about your height? People that matter doesn't bother and people that bother doesn't matter!! 157cm is considered average height for Malaysian women; have you think about those with below 150cm?? p/s: I'm also about 157cm tall and I'm happy the way I am!! You're not that short. Let others talk and don't let it affect you.
There are way more girls shorter than you that I know and they are perfectly fine with their height. I don't think there's much you can do at 17 years old now. |

Stretch yourself
On a serious note, be glad that you're a healthy living person. That's on top of everything. |
