Tempered glass not supposed to scratches easily, mine is still clean after 2 weeks of regular usage (dropped once from table height without casing).

Ur review make me worry my coming Benks Glass SP leh. Coz i never used glass SP before.

Don't worry, tempered glass is quite good. Of course, if it is not real tempered glass, then we have no way to check either.

I preferred to be unique, own things where very little people have, when i use my Mi3 i used ro have these question from, my  college "Waa Xiaomi ah ?" " Heard from Facebook very difficult to buy one hoh ! " Waa Mi phone where u get it" "what phone is this ? i answer Xiaomi "So this is the phone people talking about lah" Borrowed see borrow" " how much u buy ? 'now selling RM 769, "Waa so cheap" "good ah ?" waa screen very clear hoh, very wotth it oh !

I bet nobody would bother u if u use a Samsung or iPhone where every next or next person had it.
*
hahaha... same here. Friends and colleagues all check out my xiaomi especially when RM120 price dropped, I was the early adopter (means I paid RM889 sad.gif ). Even when I was in a park hiking, those hikers rest around also came over and ask if it is xiaomi and can take a look.

My Mi3 is second batch one, so I am the first person get the xiaomi phone in office. When my phone reach my office, everyone come around me and wanna play my phone...haha...

First day I take my phone out at restaurant when dinner , aunty beside my table saw my phone and said "wah this is xiaomi phone? Nice oh!!"
*
Since I managed to get it, so everyone in the office is asking me to help to buy. Every batch release I also have to stay in front of PC to get for them + power bank.
Actually, from a few weeks of usage, I really think it is a great phone (there is not much LTE area in Penang), fast, nice screen, and dropped 3 times without scratches so far (twice on marble floor without casing/screen protector and once on carpet).

if u using MY rom, u need to flash twice. i already attached 2 files needed to root stable rom, u need to rename to update.zip.

no need to repeat flashing rom, u only need to flash root files only.

u need to install both. (if u using china rom, u only need to flash root file, no need su)

yesterday i visited xiaomi service centre...the office is sems and it not only service xiaomi but samsung and sony as well...got 3 counters open...first impression, quite ok lar.l..
*
Good luck when you send in for SEMS Services for service. They do Sony, Lenovo, Huawei as well, they look ok from the outside, got system to track your service repair status, etc. However, once you phone go in, don't expect to get back the phone in 1 month time. Those Lenovo/Sony phone takes an average of 2 months for small repair, so you will be out of your xiaomi for 2 months. Maybe get a Redmi as a backup then? haha..

sowee, didn't know about that...
i don't know why you want to use a stable rom where dev rom perform better  blush.gif

Don't because of the word "Developer" Rom,

Developer but not that much bug one... summore is weekly update, you hardly find any OS doing this....
*
When you install dev rom over the stock stable rom, do you have to flash the whole phone and reinstall everything (app, photos, contact, calendar etc) again?

First few hour or day, it really killing me  because of the "BUG"
but after sometime exploring it and check from google+MIUI forum

everything solved and settle and i am very happy with MIUI Dev Rom biggrin.gif

last week on 4.6.20 i almost cry -.-"
*

I went to fedex damansara just now.
They said will deliver tomorrow, on Sunday.

Saw too many mi3 unit.
*
I helped my friend to order, UPS called me and asked where is my office and they prefer to deliver to my office if I am ok with it. I think they try to send to office with other packages instead of individual home, which works out better for me, i can get the phone before noon instead of after work.

thanks bro. The battery seems to live up to its capacity.

And about the heat it generates? Yes I think it would generate lots of heat especially if both online and game-playing are done at the same time.

Probably a metal back with heat-dissipating feature/ability like aluminium shoud be able to help.
*
Anyone tried aluminium cover? When I was using iPhone, aluminum cover weaken the signal.

Pasar malam already got the casing and SP. But not as cheap as iPhone or Samsung's phone. They quoted me RM30 for casing!

found silicon case for RM10 and aluminium case for RM18 at pasar malam! but not alot of choices to choose from...
*
The one I saw is not the silicon case, it looks like chrome plastic case, slightly thicker and shinning with iPhone 5 back design. Looks quite nice, but RM30.
My experience with aluminum case is not good, weaken iPhone signal significantly.

My friend's Mi3 dropped on the road and screen cracked already sweat.gif

I don't think that's covered by warranty right?
Any idea how much does it cost to repair it?
I called the customer service, they told me to go to the service center and have it checked first hmm.gif
*
OMG! For a RM769 phone, the screen might cost him 200-400.

Some more at the edge won't stick.

Waiting for seller to give replacement or refund at least

The edge could happen when your first try it, the edge wasn't clean enough. Did you use alcohol to clean the screen first, especially the edges where all the dust/oil/dirt usually stuck there, then wipe off the alcohol residue with cleaning clothes?
As for fingerprint, yours look a bit excessive. Even with oleophobic coating, you will still get some fingerprints, just that it is less compare to the original phone screen without any SP and it is easy to wipe of the fingerprints.
One thing I noticed the cut out hole for the speaker is so big, looks like the quality is not really as good. However, when the good one with perfect cut out, you need to place it perfectly to the speaker hole.
