SG is selling the iF version.

the Version 1.0 is black color ... without nice box etc ... no earphone holder ...thats Version 1...
Version 2 is gold color , with nice box , earphone holder etc....

do not confuse others with V2.1 .... if u order from xiaomi recently ,all come with metal clip d....there is only V1 and V2

so , can u still get u ur so-called V2 earphone ? no right

Actually lots of 3rd party sellers still selling the old version (or V2.0) instead of the new V2.1.
It's not fake, but old version la.

So it's up to the buyer to do some research about it as some sellers can choose to be sneaky about it & not tell the truth about which version they're selling (no pic of actual item to verify)

That description sticker on the piston box. This is very improtant. Remember to check that sticker. The Picton 2.1 would provide the real information as below:



The item name: 小米活塞耳机 2  (it must have the number 2. if no, then it's either fake or piston version 1.0)

The item should be 12g (the fake one and Piston 1.0 will say 11g instead)

The power will be 5mW  (the 1.0 version got only 2mW)

And the sticker would be pasted nicely. The fake one would paste the sticker "senget".

is hard, better buy from xiaomi website only, because not everyone is expert...

Either that online shop cheated on you by giving you the old version, or they simply put the wrong sticker. I dunno.

Version 1.0. Or the worst, it's fake. I dunno. Need to check with the rest of the description on your sticker. Anyway, yours definitely not Piston 2.

It's simple. Just like when you buy Samsung Note 2. The name on the product box would say Note 2. If the "2" is missing, then something is wrong.

i have gold, packaging is 2.0, the sticker also 2.0. the only caveat i dont have the word piston 2.0...other description according to Max2006 photo word by word...

hi guys. i'm on dev rom 4.6.20.

having trouble connecting my device to the computer. when i plug in via usb, i got an error that says "USB device not recognized". anyone encounter this before? it only happens on 1 pc. when i connect to other pc, it works fine. so i think something's wrong with the driver on my pc.

i've tried:
- uninstalling the driver that causes this error (unknown USB device) and then reconnect
- install the xiaomi sync software
- reboot my device and the pc

all the above doesn't work

ope. used the same cable on diff pc. works fine there. suspect it's a driver problem. is there a way to reinstall the driver on my pc?

Can enable it.. I set long press home button for app drawer (Settings>Buttons>Long Press>...). I like to close background running apps all the time (Mi launcher is better because you can sweep it in one go, and can also determine any of the apps you don't want to close).

Push harder inside with the supplied Ejector.

Btw, just received the Piston Earphone from bro steventan85.  At first glance, I thought it is the silver version coz the rose gold is not really noticeable.    First impression - really doesn't sound like a cheap headset at all but a bit lack of stage.  But after i tried it with my JDS C5 headphone amp, it really bring out the best in this headset - sound much fuller and punchier.  I can say it is at least on par with my Klipsch Image X10 if used with the headphone amp.
