Hmm.. wait... Aug 30 is for the Beta which only allows for Windows game developement first. After the actual release then only we can start creating for the 360.. something I'm really looking forward to.
USD99 for a yearly developement subscription.. hmm.. gotta check this out.

No. to be able to develope and run community developed games on the 360 you need to pay a yearly subscription fee of USD99. Which for those in the know is VERY VERY VERY cheap.
I'm really looking forward to this.
There are people who are saying now we're gonna see viruses running around rampantly on the 360, no. That's not the case, first of all everyone will be registered in order to develope and run the games.
2nd it's very likely they'll sandbox the games so it can't touch other save games, I'm wondering if they'd corall off network access as well, but we'll see.

To produce an XBLA game takes about USD10k for the dev kit and other required things alone. For XBLA the cost is lower than a full on 360 developement cost but still a lot.
You can't sell the games you make with the XNA studio on the 360, it doesn't work that way. But what XNA Studio and the Game Creator's club gives you is the ability to try out your hand at actually developing for a console with legitamate tools even though you might just be a hobbyist.
I'm definetly looking foward to more details.
