the humminbird, i think i already cropped it, not sure..
and im not using raw, my 1gb card couldnt possibly hold 500+ raw format photos
its a 8 day trip you noe tongue.gif

the "snow" is not snow
i guess its just sunlight reflected on the rocks
not really sure why it came out like that
though, we ARE above the clouds, so no clouds were blocking the sun
I reckon the sun up there wasn't so good on my skin sad.gif

Btw, I haven't yet got one cleaning kit for the DSLR
What should I get ?
What do I ask for in a shop ?
How much would everything be ?

for that, I used Shutter-Priority Auto or was it manual, any one is fine
set it for a 3 second exposure, or longer or shorter depending
after i release the shutter, zoom in, or zoom out
will have different effects
speed of the zoom after releasing the shutter will come out differently too, i think

26 and 27 ah
I forgot the settings, but
the lens was a cheap 80mm-300mm zoom lens
Mode was shutter-priority too, set it to a fast shutter speed as they were dancing and moving quite fast
ISO on auto

hope that answer your question >.<

i also noob leh..
got alot to learn from all the sifus here

thks dude
will try experiencing M mode for that
coz if shutter speed fast, got very dark image  cry.gif
i set ISO 1600 oso dark...
summore dun haf steady hands  for slow shutter speed
*
ya, need to see the conditions
luckily for me the stage is brightly lit, so the subjects come out well even with high shutter speed
did you use a polarizer for pic 24?
and i think you should try the slow shutter zoom thingy on a pedestrian bridge at night with lots of cars, it produce magnificent photos.
sorry, didn't check back to reply
and no, I didnt use polarizer, i think i just underexposed it some
maybe sometime later I'll do those kind of shots, kinda busy with studies now, can't have time for this hobby tongue.gif

well dont know if it will help, i read on net b4 that for movement, its batter if u compo it entering the frame not dropping out...ur pcs look like got framing problem...

just my 2 cents.. smile.gif
*
em, entering the frame ?
Don't understand.. care to explain ?
I'm still learning
was my first sporting event

QUOTE(clemong_888 @ Oct 15 2006, 11:06 PM)
i did comment on it.. before your 2nd post.

blurring would have been great but it's not easy. unlike cars, people dont move linearly. closing up would be good too

well actually what i trying 2 say was the pcs telling the viewer whats next, where to go next or smth like that...

this is not what i shot but roughly the idea...
http://gallery.photo.net/photo/2998367-lg.jpg ( just jump into the frame, next is gonna land )

http://photo.net/photodb/photo?photo_id=3072048 ( getting ready to hit )

well just what i think la..mayb u wun like it cos diff photographer diff thinking.. smile.gif
*
oo, I think I get what you mean
its like taking a shot where its telling the audience whats gonna happen next, or let them guess whats gonna happen next
thx !
Another penny in my pocket smile.gif

ah.. so very true
lemme rephrase it
I would love to go if the model's free time coincide with mine
or should it be the other way around sweat.gif

Hi guys, been a long time since I last posted here
Just didn't have the time to get distracted from college

However, PC Fair is a event that I'd never miss
And I travelled down with my friends

While everyone is distracted by the PC Fair, there was a fashion show kinda thiny promoting SK-II
I was just at the right place at the right time

It was my first taste of shooting something like this
And it certainly wasn't easy

Things came out blur

Lest not talk about my composition yet
I need techniques to make my shots come out crisp and clear for now
Any help ?

Because everything, and i mean EVERYTHING came out ugly, even these four are heavily photoshopped

An example of what most of the pictures came out like is this

Any advise for me next time ?

I tried everything that I know
but I think the problem is that I'm not fast enough in changing the settings

When I got the right settings, they have finished the show sleep.gif

Guess all I need is experience

A VR lens would help though, anyone care to sponsor ?
