i havent watched it yet but based on the the picture people posted, did they just changed the whole storyline or did they start from the middle of the manga, since that short hair is not supposed to be in the team yet when the teacher is still there

I suggest you read the manga from first chapter. There are many plot points left out. Trust me, it will be WORTH it. The suffering is much more delicious in the mango.
