Thanks bro. I'll report it to the SC during my service next month. Hopefully it'll go away. Its irritating and a little humiliating as well. I had people in my car and they were questioning why my new car is not able to filter out the nasty smell outside.
*
mine too got this outside smell and from what their technician told me that the aircond was built like that and he said that the aircond part at the engine area cannot be totally close if you try to do it it will void your warranty sad.gif. that is what he told me lar. i also dont know whether its true or not

If the accident wasnt caused by ur fault n u were not given the saman by the police plus insurance claimed by another party...u are eligble for that. But please double check with your workshop for further terms and conditions.especially the time frame and rate.
*
thanks bro. already ask Peugeot (sent to Peugeot authorized workshop) and they told me that they don't have any courtesy car for accident sad.gif so sad ley sad.gif. and the insurance not too sure yet but from the website stated that if we need car it will all be under our own expenses sad.gif stupid insurance.

Replacing brake pads at non Peugeot SC will not break warranty. Give Stephen at Eurotech a call : 012 3896539. Workshop at Kaya Ara, he's former Peugeot trained mechanic.

Appreciate you give us a break down on cost upon completion!
*
thanks bro SKYjack anyway this mechanic location in jb or kl ?? btw SC Peugeot ask me to change the brake pad and they quote me 4++ which i think outside will be much more cheaper

Hi,

I just changed my front brake pad last weekend. Recommended by the mechanic who changed my tyres. Only RM295 per set. Locally made. Haven't got the chance yet to test the brake at high speed but so far no different from stock brake pad during city driving.
*
eh still cheap le..where is the shop ??. i able to find one at kota tinggi then they quoted me at 3++ for oem parts and 500 for original parts. now im thinking change at the peugeot service centre is better cost me only 4++ only.

To clarify again:
SC warranty on our batt, only the first year ownership of your car.
After the first claim of ur batt, no more warranty, even your batt die after 1 week of change.
*
yup its true its time battery when u bought the car the warranty either 1 year from when u buy or 20k mileage..then mine mileage over i need to change coz not cover under warranty anymore...the cost is about RM600 then now not even 1 year they say battery again wahlauwei can koyak ley pocket like that every year change battery hahahaha..

Hi, can anyone compare the sound from my engine to your 408 turbo?

I am always hearing the rattling metal sound whenever I rev my engine. You can see the video below:

i think that one problem cannot be avoided ley coz mine also face the same issue last time i did tell them and u know hwat they did or not just press and fix a little bit to the metal and the rattling sound gone but it only work for a few days or hours then the rattling sound come out again...btw i did complaint so many time bout that until i give up

Bro.
You can do yourself a favor and all of us for the future if we run into similar problems. Please write to the CEO directly and cc copy to the Star, Peugeot head office in France and send a legal letter.  I am sure something good will.come out of it. Also you can create an online petition for all of us to sign.  Lets send a strong messages to Nasim.

QUOTE(EnergyAnalyst @ Sep 9 2014, 10:51 AM)
i believe still the best way is resolve all your problems with Nasim and its authorised service centers.

Take my case for example, I have reported a problem with my almost 2 year old 408 NA . The car was hard to start especially after leaving the car idle overnight or after long hours e.g. after a days work ------I have to twist and turn the ignition key sometimes two times, before it would fire up. At times though seldom I even have to do it on third attempts), it first appeared on and off but then it had worsen to almost daily, initially i have highlighted this to Chan Sow Lin Branch but they could not fix it and mentioned they have reported this in the system and advised me to approach Glenmarie HQ for warranty claim.

I wrote to Clic and call them but they were all booked up, so i asked if GeoAuto can help and without appointment, i went there in a morning and have the problem diagnosed and it was found a speed sensor faulty issue is the culprit, so geoAuto helped me put in the warranty claim, at that time, it was near Raya holidays, so i was told to expect the parts to come in 2 weeks. Well two weeks eventually becomes almost 2 months later after regular call up and email to clic, the parts was changed FOC EVENTUALLY but i had to leave my car overnight there. and while at it, i also ask them to check the air cond. smell issue AFTER even replacing the filter at 40k km service recently of which they claim they have cleaned it 'More' thoroughly... which resulted into Smell gone,,,,well for now...

It was frustrating re: the wait . Sure! it was very time consuming in chasing them , Sure that too! it caused anxiety and nervousness, sure you bet!

The experience was even worsened with untidy work shown (certain car internal plastic covers was removed obviously but somehow the service technician has even overlooked to  put them back), Can you imagine? it was even heartbreaking when your colleagues and wife tell you in your face, "SEE? French cars, told you so"

It was lucky for me that i have a second car and a driver (wife's car and she volunteered to chauffeur me through the ordeal, and we took a day off on top of me taking additional time off when i drove my car to Geoauto before leaving it there)

But if i sit back and ask myself: Were Clic@naza's team and the service advisors at GeoAuto patient, courteous and apologetic, yes, they were, these individuals i am sure are dealing with many cases (just look at the car lining up at service centres) and met with angry faces and raised voices, you bet and even as much as i would hate to admit it, they are possibly doing their best to help us and so far to me they have not yet fail in my score cards, but i can imagine when a parts did not turn up, or delay somewhere, somehow, it is actually beyond their control.

I learnt that being brutally honest with them helps, they are just like you and me, normal person who deserve some fundamental level of respect. I even tell them look guys, we are in this forum of car owners who don't just ONLY criticize but PRAISE the cars and service too when it is due.  We also get sneered by people (even our close ones) who now give us these. ''See, I have told you so'' kind of snap backs, and it would not help their (Peugeot's) sales, brand and reputation

We praise when we get good service too...but bear in mind not all encounters are sweet (especially when you come with a 'problem'). My advice to all who are facing problems, small and big with your car now, you got to do your part in chasing them, call & email clic, call the service advisor even when they don't call you back (as PROMISED), it is your car, who is going to take care of your baby if not you taking the lead?

I am not sure everyone would agree, this is just my perspective icon_rolleyes.gif

thumbup.gif thumbup.gif great man u are power..this part i also cannot tahan ley ''See, I have told you so''when people say that to my face. owh btw they also suppose to have improve their appointed workshop by now but then haiya too slow..my car got involved with the accident and wating for the part i tell you before raya until now still havent receive. really angry with their appointed workshop..and to make it worse in jb only got 1 authorized panel workshop only grrrrrrr vmad.gif
