Hi Guys

I think best time to buy the Turbo Model - both TS and TE. TS from 98K only. I went shopping last one week for best offers. If anybody interested don't mind sharing with you guys the best offers and the SA name. Please PM me.

I will make the booking this Friday (Good Time lol)

You are killing me softly bro. After 2 years + of loan payment + 10% downpayment, my balance is still more than $98K. Well done. Really a great buy! thumbup.gif

I’m in the same shoe with vknight, been following this thread for almost a year and finally made my booking for Peugeot 408T due to the attractive promotion. rclxms.gif The reason of the lower price is because there is now an additional 408T model (they call it standard spec) with difference such as the replacement of leather seat with fabric seat, no Euro kit, no Melbourne series rim etc. I went with the standard model (RM10k cheaper) as I find fabric seat to be more comfortable than the leather seat. Just wondering, anyone install the Euro Kit outside market? Any price indication and recommendation of shops? It’s also a pity I’m stuck with the 2.0 variance rim, find it very dull looking. cry.gif

I’ve seen some bad ownership experience with 408 so I am aware getting a Peugeot sounds like a big bet. Should do some praying before getting my ride. Still, I agreed the car is a poison to drive. I was instantly poisoned by the 308T when I first test drove it 3 years ago… drool.gif I’m glad I’m settling down with 408 which is more comfortable and reliable. Hope I’m right!

Looking forward to my lion! icon_rolleyes.gif

Bro. Why dont you consider settling the loan and buy a new car and new loan. Only slightly above your current loan. Current promo can get up to 20k. New price should be rm109k otr. 98k for ts.

So, I suppose not everyone have the same amount of issues with the car? I finally step up in faith and booked my Blue NA. Now looking for loan - keep my fingers crossed and wish me luck! sweat.gif

Bro. How much paying for NA? TS model is almost same price. Skyjack earlier post mentioned much better value for turbo. Please consider.

I think Hannibal mentioned above, perhaps he interested with stock rim?
No mod on my car, running stock. 2 yrs car, running at 35k km now.
- claimed windscreen rubber seal due to cracking
- claimed water pump due to coolant leaking
- left side mirrow not folding, claiming, awaiting parts

Ya. I did check with Naza on this player also, crazy price at Rm4.5k
Aftermarket OEM cost less than Rm2k, perhaps Rm2.5 for a decent one.

98K. I know but I want a softer ride, besides I am all city driving only, also afraid turbo may have more challenge maintaining. If finance permit later on, may want to trade-in another car for 308. Eventually, trade in 408 for 3008. drool.gif

Hi Guys,

Was going through other forums, and stumble upon this statement made by a fellow forum-er.

"The Prince THP engine is notorious of problems. From the carbon buildup due to its less than stellar direct injection, to turbo failures, to depollution error, whatever the f that means."

Can anyone verify on this matter? And elaborate more on the issue highlighted?? I mean, i've heard good things about the new THP163. All the issues from the 308T was rectify and modified on the 408T's engine.

Is he referring to the THP156 engine used in 308T??? Or maybe he still think Pug engine/electronics are still like previous models??? Hmmmmmmmm hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

Ya, a few pieces of plastic looking material, I think RM1.5k is ok. What's the alternative - the sporty looking euro kit?
