QUOTE(Virgohunk @ Mar 7 2015, 02:10 PM) Hi everyone,Need to seek technical explanation. May I know how / when would the side airbags be deployed? I recalled this version of 408 T pride itself for having 6 airbags. "The 408 Turbo also comes with driver and front passenger side airbags, front and rear curtain airbags" from peugeot.com.my. However, in my case, only front driver & passenger Airbags were deployed. The other airbags didn't inflate and the impact was from the side. I've also read this howstuffworks-Airbags Anyone can give me advise since this is regarding safety. Thank you thank you. |

QUOTE(Ronald_loulan @ Mar 10 2015, 09:03 AM) Ur car does come with 6 airbags but how ever the collision didnt triggered the side airbag. I thought from the howstuffwork, side curtain airbag suppose to protect rear seated passengers because front already have 4 airbags. Anyway, if a childseat was fitted properly at the back (in reverse of course), then bag like that jialat le?The sensors that trigger the side airbag located at both front door and the collision didnt triggered it. If it was a direct side impact then it would definitely trigger the side airbag. Hope this helps... BTW really need to total lost ka?? I'm considering the total loss claim, banged up like that may not feel like it was once new b4. Yes it could be fix but it'll be different after. Fixed up and sell also another effort to list and nego. Furthermore puspakom sure stamp kereta accident on the registration card. What would you guys do if you were in this position? |

QUOTE(speed.demon @ Mar 10 2015, 01:10 PM) Hey dude, first thing: it's good to know you and your wife were uninjured in that accident. Thanks for the input, I will reconsider but not because of sentimentality but from a financial angle.Secondly, I think the answer to your question depends mostly on if the car was a long term investment or not. If it was, then I reckon you should get it repaired and continue using it, assuming that things like your transmission, drive shaft and axle are not seriously damaged based on the images. P/s: to an extent, I agree with you that "it'll be different after" but this car saved you, your wife and your future kid. If it was me, my confidence in terms of safety would grow knowing that even if a car whack me until their engine hancur, my family is safe. At this point, a rough estimation to fix is around RM30K (cover by insurance) still awaiting workshop inspection details. Stay tuned. |

Need advice.
This coming 7th June will marks the 3rd month without driving Pug. Something about the 'cock' up that Peugeot has made, got me frustrated and helpless. Parts ordered ETA 29 Apr and fixing should be complete by end of May (i.e 31st). Then got a rude shock that ETA was bumped further into the future 29th July 2015. Ipoh Service Mgr, notified me to ask me to call C/S of Naza. Yes, getting the customer to raise his voice with C/S. And miraculously now ETA by 7th June. Svr Manager re-re-assured me by 17th June 2015 will get back my car like how he first said mid May then end of May. There is nothing I can do but complain, unless any brother here can advise. Total parts change 41. Total cost to fix : initially 6xK then adjuster correct it to 5xK (i wonder SvrMgr makan how much). T1un14S1ngB3tu1 QUOTE(joeaggas @ Mar 7 2015, 09:30 AM) |

QUOTE(painkiller88 @ Jul 7 2015, 04:47 PM) Hi all, Peugeot after Sales Service and maintenance service damn bad. My car was bang for 4 months ago and send to repaired in workshop, up to date, they cant event completely repair my car. I believe they don't have enough expertise and the staff turnover are high. I event cant imagine why they need to take such long time to repaired. SO disappointed.. So I don't suggest ppl going for Peugeot if u think to buy a new car. I share the same experience like yours. Just got back my car two Monday's ago. After a weekend up go Seremban/Genting, turbo /ABS/ESP gone. No courtesy car some more especially they screw up the parts ordering. |
