My brake pad still got around 40% left at the mileage around of 35k.
So maybe one more year den only i will change it
*
I saw mine left very nipis. I am bit more skeptical on this issue. Last time I destroyed 2 brake rotors, damn scary.
Driving around town with loud weird noise when brake. Didnt care until my mechanic told me to change tongue.gif

Guys, by the way you all change 4 tyres at one go or 2 by 2? If 2 by 2, New tyres go to the front or rear?

Pug 308 MY club advised to put new at rear and rear to front. We should have more traction at rear due to front can be controlled but not the rear. Agree? Onion please tongue.gif

wahlau mine 20k i change already ley botak habis la hahaha..now using mich ps3 much much much better compare to conti
*
You take your lion for drift? hahaha. 20k is so damn fast. 2 services interval then got to change.
By the way bro, how much your bought for the PS3?

QUOTE(jfcheong @ Sep 24 2014, 09:27 AM)
Ideally, new tyre (better grip) should always at the rear. However, front tyre always worn out faster than rear.
So if you out like this:
Front old tyre
Rear new tyre
Den your front tyre will be gone very very fast, not very long you will need to change tyre again.

So for more balance, you should change all your 4 tyre at once. And rotate your front and rear tyre every 10k mielage to have better lifespan.
My 2 cents
*
Sigh, mean everytime go service, i should also visit tyre shop to rotate tyres. sad.gif
Sounds tiring. LOL

1.8k quite impossible. I think should be 2.3k.
Michelin website shows that the tyre RRP is around 650 each. sweat.gif

Front wheel drive cars, rule of thumb give less worn tyre in front. Change 4 (or 5 - remember the spare tyre is an exact tyre spare not some small little wheel), can try other brand and experience the difference - which I think is subjective in terms of what is good for (wallet/drive experience/cabin ambient - wear earplugs)

Change just 2 - can also but if want to try other brands then mix brand tyres. Front Michellin / Goodyear, back Contis  drool.gif

I just got quote from nearby tyre shops;
Goodyear Eagle F1 A2 - RM550/pcs - shop owner claims direct Germany import not local manufacture.
Goodyear Eagle F1 D5 - RM485/pcs (this tyre cannot side cross switch during 8K - 10K alignment/balancing services)
Michellin PS3 RM580/pcs
Continental CSC 5 (not MC5) - RM820/pcs

Choices Choices Choices.
Goodyear shop fella added, "Better change now lor - afterwards GST add 6%". Nia-sing! after many nag from accountant go tyre shops also get this acronym.
*
Call the Michelin Shop nearby my house, RM610 each. PS3 i meant. Sigh

Bought 4 pieces of Michelin PS3 225/45/17 from Weng Heng Tayar.
RM 520 each. Made on 1419, 19th week of 14.

The only thing is the chamber nut. My chamber position was very bad. Changed the nut and made adjustment to chamber and alignment, i still feel my steering pull to the left =.=

Are you sure you needed to change the nut. It's mostly a scam in Malaysia. I changed the nut on my Vios before believing the tyre shop. When I finally found a copy of the service manual, I found out that the nuts originally fitted by Toyota didn't need replacement for adjustments to be made. Furthermore, unless there's a serious flaw in the design or your suspension is damaged, you don't usually need to adjust your camber. What I've learnt is the shops usually "tune" their machines to show a fake bad reading for your camber, then get you to pay for a camber nut to "adjust" it back.

How much did you pay for the nut? They charged me RM150 a piece when I got conned for my Vios.

Just my 2 cents.

I believed him at the point of the time because my old tyre really makan one side.
Now a bit regret.. maybe it is all a mind game.

Oh Ok, good for you. I remember roughly 10years ago, I changed tyres in Singapore. The shop even smeared mud on the side wall to give a used look. The damn customs at JB, did not believe and insisted it's new tyres. Finally I had to pay tax +fine! After that I have never changed tyres in Singapore ever again.
*
Got to look poor in front of the customs. hahaha.
Else, if looks rich, those fella sure know you replaced your tyre tongue.gif
