No need SC not GB issues anyway is just how 408T design to be sporty, Just change the driving method gentle to the GB for longer lifespan . biggrin.gif

FYI.
Finally I able to claim my noisy gearbox and make replacement last week, after replace next day cannot start due to starter wiring did not tighten, call SC to send techs to fix . This gearbox issue been dragging 1 year and 3 months ago. I had been harsh all the way towards the SC and CLIC staff. 45 email conversations with Clic, and reported at KPDNKK at January 2015. Prepare to go for Tribunal court for claim if they did not approve the replacement. Now well known at Penang Georgetown SC.

Here is my bad experience towards my lion:( My 1st email to Clic)
I had reported my gearbox noise issue when I make 2500km service on March 2014. I am been told that my case will be follow up, unfortunately the 1st report only sent to technical platform at May 2014 after I make numerous of call to service center manager. July 2014 I been told to leave my car a week for troubleshooting and collecting data that needed from HQ. They said will call me when HQ replied to them , after month and month waiting, I make numerous call to Careline. Finally on September 2014 I get a called from service center said that my car gearbox noise is normal and stated that they cannot do anything about it. The technical person who troubleshoot my car and bring me along for test drive stated clearly that my car gearbox noise are abnormal compare to other car. How come HQ said is NORMAL ? REFUSED TO FIXED? After that I make numerous call again to care-line, till I sent out my 1st email to CLIC on November 2014.

Since I get my car I had claim :
1) Front both disc brake. ( Vibrate and have sound when brake at high speed)
2) Both Side triangle rubber cover
3) Battery ( died after 6 months) tow back to SC
4) Gearbox

Note: Late 3 months for 10K service on September ( should be done on June 2014). Which I told the SC manager they need to take the responsibility for the delay cause I will not waste money to maintain defect car.(The manager advise me to do 10K cause she scare will void my warranty). After replacement straight do 20K service, 6 months since September 2014 with 14k mileage only.

Hi Bro my advice is record the GB sound and complain thru FB peugeot Malaysia page directly, We all should do this. Then update the FB thread accordingly, Sure SC wont play play since is open to all to see biggrin.gif my 2cent.

else, blip the throttle...try it... Our 408T gear change at 3K rpm, try it bro..push it to 3K to 3.2K rpm range , release the throttle for a split sec or reduce the throttling. Then gear will change to higher or lower. Then press the throttle agian... Smooth changing...

take some practice to make it perfect.

Aircon Smelly
My 408 is 2 ½ years and now the aircon has a musty smell when I turn it on – The smell is quiet strong and usually gets less after a while. Anyone experience this ? if yes how was it fixed?
Appreciate your suggestions

Is common for any car that had internal air filter is wet. Have u change the filter before? 2 Year must change. if changed before do this trick turn the air con Heater to max
on for 20 min with engine running and door open or windows, let it cool down, n see next day still have the issues

I complained on the spot and the service advisor told that he would call me for a re appointment.. but yet to call until today.. my patience is really being tested bro.. just 2 months of owning this car.. though it has a lot of issues but yet it still makes me grin when i press the accelerator pedal..

Yesterday I kissed a wira. The car in front of him made a emergency break. My driver's side fender is dislocated and banded. I have scratches on the door side as well. Do you think its better to repair at a workshop or sent to Peugeot to claim insurance. Its not even 1 month yet sad.gif

you kiss people car , claim insurance lose NCB 55%, you can only claim ur car if you made police report and kena fine by police cos you kiss people car.

go workshop you know quote for repair, if 1+k suggest u fork out urself n repair it.

If more then claim insurance ... Pigot SC parts are very expensive , last time a van kiss my lion 2 week car... 12K repair bills i claim the van la

in SC they change new parts only no knocks, whole back bumper and boots cover, lights, crash bar inside the bumper.

All this have to imported, so order early n wait for 2 weeks while driving the car... The boots cover is 3K, the back light is 2K plus , bars another 2k plus, 1 ks for the bumper

10K for parts and 2 k for labours. Since is claim other parties dont cares

Yes I did the police report today. I wanted some views from those who already had the trouble after accidents.
I already expect the parts would be expensive. If anyone here has the inventory for parts list would be helpful.
Before I bought the car, I asked the salesman for this, he said it can be arranged. But it never happened.
I think its good since the insurance going to bear the hefty sums for parts replacement.

Bro NCB 55% about Rm 1600, once lost take 5 year to collect back . With NCB about 1500 for 100k but year 2 is about 75k so calculate is worth ? If worth go claim , as soon police result report out ,submit it to ur insurance.. call ur insurance early to get for adjuster.

It seems the paint itself will cost more than 1k. Not included the fender bender, broken front grille, broken light bracket & no plate.
Since my NCD is 0%. insurans & roadtax was borne by the SC when I purchase the car, i think its better t claim insurans
But its still looks like a minor repair, at the moment i can still drive the car without a glitch.
Anyone know which is the best SC for easiest and fastest to process this kind of repairs?

Better claim insurance then, availability parts could be sticky issues, could take 2-3 weeks,

As long you can drive it without danger... drive it.


But the puchong SC is the main store where they keep their spare parts stock...I will going there next monday for 10K service. According to them they are using TOTAL engine oil. Not petronas engine oil as other SC

Rumour la, 308 running lack of power with petronas synthium , So i stick with TOTAL.
